Summer is in full swing! From family getaways and lake weekends to workouts, camps, and tournaments, there’s no shortage of action—and basketball remains at the center of it all. With so much happening, Prep Hoops Dakotas (PHD) can’t help but start thinking ahead to the upcoming high school season.

At PHD, we always have fun speculating and predicting the future. These Early Rankings spark thought-provoking ideas and lead to some great conversations. So with that in mind, let’s take our first look at the Class AA Power Rankings for the 2025–2026 season. This is just our opening take—summer success, unforeseen situations, and circumstances could shift opinions as the summer unfolds.

Bismarck Century enters the early rankings as the top dogs—and for good reason. The Patriots have looked outstanding this summer, showcasing chemistry, tough defense, high-octane offense, and next-level execution on both ends of the floor.
