Ahmi was a game-changer this weekend because of the way he controlled the paint with his length, activity, and toughness. Spears protected the rim, altered shots around the basket, and was outstanding on the glass all weekend long. He consistently high-pointed rebounds, attacked the ball aggressively, and was especially effective at creating extra possessions on the offensive boards. Offensively, Spears continued to show growth in his game. He finished efficiently inside, attacked closeouts well, and looked comfortable slashing to the rim. His offensive skill set seems to improve every weekend, and the confidence is clearly growing.
