Philly HS Live S2: Additional Standout Prospects

With opponents focused on stopping [player_tooltip player_id='2485359' first='Colton' last='Hiller'], this high IQ shooting guard took advantage of the extra space by draining jumpers from all over the floor. His ability to pop transition threes was extraordinarily impressive. This versatile lefty also used his surprisingly quick first step to get to the rim off the dribble. First, Coles posted and impressive double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds against Radnor. Then he drained 6 threes on his way to 26 points in a win over Pope John Paul. In addition to popping threes, Coles displayed incredible transition skills. He used his speed and crafty handles to push the rock on the fast break for scores and assists. Coles owns a wiry build, so his ability to finish through contact in transition caught defenders by surprise. His passing skills are a highly underrated asset. In his 34-point effort Doherty knocked down 4 threes, got out on the fast break for hoops, scored off dribble drives and via crafty off-ball cuts to the hoop. At times Doherty operated as a primary ball handler. In that role he displayed elusive handles that got him to the rim whenever he wanted. Doherty also displayed a high IQ and tremendous poise. He never allowed opposing team's pressure defense to speed up his game. Green made me look good this weekend, by dropping 24 points on Pocono Mountain West as well as 20 points against Riverside. In addition to scoring at all three-levels, Green played tenacious defense, rebounded, and delivered well timed dimes to teammates. In short, Green stuffed the stat book in both of PJP's games this weekend. Still, possibly the most intriguing asset Green's showed at Philly HS Live was his ability to play with extreme tempo without committing turnovers or forcing ill-advised shots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
