Grassroots Elite has a strong 16 U group that has qualified for the semifinals of the Ohio State tournament thanks to their size and rebounding ability. Spikes was their most dominant interior presence in the game I caught, blocking shots, hitting reverse layups and even drawing fouls on post moves. I'm really intrigued by Spikes long term upside as he's on an upward trajectory heading into his Junior year of high school.

Another player leading his team to the semifinals of the tournament, Bronson had an impressive game for a Kentucky Storm Elite squad that fell behind early before overpowering the opposition en route to a comfortable victory. Bronson has a quick first step and was able to change directions off the bounce to get past defenders from the point of attack. When Bronson can attack with the ball going left, he's hard to stop. Showed why he was co-player of the year of the Southwest Ohio Conference as a Junior.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] Black had an impressive Saturday tournament run as they rolled into the semifinals thanks to a balanced scoring effort. Silva was one of those leaders as his off-ball movement really stood out as he got behind the defense in transition and made smart cuts in the half-court to get easy shots. With the ability to space the floor and finish at the rim with size from the wing, Silva checks a lot of boxes small college programs look for and most importantly plays hard on both ends of the floor.

Filling in this weekend on the 17 U level, Scholl has been productive scoring on the interior against older competition. Strength is the biggest part of Scholl's game that needs to improve and he used his size and length to finish efficiently at the rim. If you've ever seen Scholl play you know how elite of a shooter he is and of course he was making it rain from long distance on Saturday as well.

I was really impressed with the toughness and pace that JH95 16 U played with, getting a bunch of easy buckets in transition off defensive rebounds and steals. Singletary was their most impressive scorer as he was making shots from both the 3-point and mid-range areas of the courts off the dribble. My favorite shot he made was off a BLOB where he came off a screen and confidently turned and shot. If Singletary can use his scoring gravity to set up his teammates for open looks in the half-court, this JH95 16 U team will be extremely hard to stop.
