Boschee is definitely on the smaller side, but he's still a young guard, being in the 13U ranks. So he doesn't immediately catch a scout's eye until you see his game, skill, playmaking, and poise on the court. It caught me a little off guard with what he was able to do with the ball and the impact he made with it. His transition play and effectiveness in that aspect of the game, I recall the most. If he can hit a couple nice growth spurts, college coaches will be ringing his number, because he has all the skill and tools that are necessary.

Cavelli is a 2030 point guard out of North Dakota. He was probably the most skilled player I saw all weekend in the 13U-14U divisions. An elite handle and has the ball on a string. He is constantly making plays and impacting the game as an opportunistic defender that creates turnovers, but his main impact is when he is possessing the ball and is able to dictate the game. His presence and value with the ball in his hands is to the point to where it's a lost possession for the team if he doens't touch the ball at least once. He makes things happen as a distributor and can score and get to his spots without hesitation.

I caught the second half of the Minnesota Elite game on Sunday and Hurt didn't immediately standout to me. But the longer I viewed the game, I started to take notice of Hurt's ridiculous motor and effort. He didn't have an elite handle on the ball, but he played with such defensive aggression and was so strong and sudden attacking the hoop, that I eventually caught on and realized he was a key reason in Minnesota Elite sealing the game in the end. He took over from an effort and physicality standpoint from the guard spot.

I've seen Zy a number of times already this offseason and he always performs for [program_tooltip program_id='2135832' first='The' last='Next Level Basketball Academy'] 14U-1 team. His 3-point shooting is a key ingredient to the team's success and he can get them to drop in bunches, at times. He can pump-fake from three and get going and be a threat attacking the hoop as well. Messmer provides value for the squad and its success.

Wes shows up to the gym and is immediately a top performer. I've seen [program_tooltip program_id='2075693' first='MN' last='Crossfire'] 14U-Frederickson in three tournaments so far this Summer, so I'm very familiar with what Wes can do. I've written about him a few times and he warrants it everytime. He was consistent again at NHR State with averages of 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block per game per his Head Coach, Sam Frederickson. He opened up the tournament with a 27-point outburst on Friday night. Wes could takeover games and score 25+ routinely, but he's unselfish and will make that extra pass to an open teammate.

Hoop Habits 14U-1 is so deep with high-end talent that Thomas actually is an off-the-bench performer. Thomas comes in and immediately makes his presence felt with high-level effeciency from the point guard spot. He doesn't necessarily need the ball in his hands at all times, either. He was making defensive plays on the ball with a few steals every game, by my recall. He doesn't get too high or too low in his personality on the court, and I think that allows him to be so effective when it comes time to make a game-altering play.
