Here's Part 2 of 2 from Saturday action in the Convocation Center.

A top 50 national prospect in his class, Julius faced off with the defending 6A champs in Newton and more than held his own. Facing a Rams front line that features 6-foot-7 [player_tooltip player_id='1543533' first='Jordan' last='Green'] and 6-foot-10 Kayden Young, the 6-foot-9 Julius was fleet afoot on the catch and turn, and showed off his soft touch from 15 feet and in. Plays a lot like a swifter Tim Duncan, and not that Duncan was at all slow-footed or that Julius is a future Hall of Famer, but he's a skilled and classic post in the 80's and 90's mold, just with a lot more modern quickness and explosion. He is a major presence near the rim defensively, altering shots when he's not sending the others into the stands. He's a transformational guy for the Eagles program, as they look to get back into the mix for a 3A-A (3A, 2A and A all play for one title in this GHSA rotation) Final Four berth.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543533' first='Jordan' last='Green'] | Forward | Newton | 2026

Green has been quietly producing for the last two seasons with a lot of other star power on the Ram roster, and was obviously a huge factor in their 6A title run this past March. Having graduated some huge pieces from that team, both in the frontcourt and more prominently in their backcourt, Green will take on more. He's got a sweet-looking shot from the arc inward, with a beautiful rotation and release. Around the basket he's a swift mover and gets off the deck with power and explosion. Returning 2026 backcourt contributor [player_tooltip player_id='2880915' first='Bryce' last='Jackson'] looked good as well Saturday, and he'll get transfer help in the form of Gatewood arrival [player_tooltip player_id='2413255' first='Matt' last='Allen'], a knockdown shooter and scorer, as well as Jayden Scott and [player_tooltip player_id='2879787' first='Jared' last='White'].

Nate Robinson | Guard | Mt Bethel | 2026

Unranked in the state and quite under-appreciated is Robinson, as he's flown generally under the radar over the last 2 seasons but has put up numbers across the stat sheet for the Eagles over that span. He's the unquestioned glue for this iteration under Coach Cal Boyd, a true point guard with burst and a fearlessness that serve him well. He's a heady and clever defender, gets his hands on a lot of balls, and is a push-first, ask questions later leader on the break. The Eagles welcome two talented 2029 guards into the program in [player_tooltip player_id='2767540' first='Cadien' last='Hudson'] and Liam McTeer, and 2027 wings [player_tooltip player_id='2125566' first='Roman' last='Avery'] and Leo Wilkins are set for potential breakouts, so the backcourt has ability, but Robinson will be the straw that stirs the drink for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400637' first='Quintin' last='Mansfield'] | Forward | Gainesville | 2026

After a surprising first-round exit from the 5A playoffs last year, the pieces are back to put that behind them, with star power like guard [player_tooltip player_id='2046362' first='Kevin' last='White'] and forward [player_tooltip player_id='1543522' first='Charlie' last='Gersmehl'] back from one more year. They add 6-foot-10 [player_tooltip player_id='1696230' first='Kevin' last='Curtis'] from North Atlanta, a slightly raw post, but possessing tons of length and upside. Against a smaller Winder-Barrow group last Saturday, it was Mansfield who looked the part of a guy you can ride with and around, a strong-framed 6-foot-6 with spring and moxie that showed as he got at or near 20 points for the game. Plays with an edge, finishes with proficiency, hits the glass and plays defense, and with the 6-foot-8 Gersmehl making for a huge front line, if the Red Elephants are healthy and locked in next winter, a much deeper run in 5A is well within reach under stellar Coach Charlemagne Gibbons.
