The versatile, skilled forward has signed with Belmont as he continues to show improvement during his senior season. The senior prefers to play facing the rim at the offensive end. The 6’8 forward can pass, dribble and shoot it for his size. He can also score over with either hand in the paint and is a willing rebounder at both ends of the floor.

Ohio offered after watching Charlie at GBCA Live. The stretchy forward attacks inside and out. He’s on the leaner side, but Gersmehl is tough in the paint, able to score with his back to the basket. Charlie drops in hook shots, floaters and can shoot the 15-footer. In a loss to Buford, he knocked down a corner three and showed off his mobility by picking off a steal and finishing the other way. Charlie had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Mid-Major programs will be active recruiting the best JV player in Georgia last year.

was forced to sit through the high school season but he came out looking like a new player in the spring. Gersmehl has gotten both taller and stronger, now up to 6’8. He’s a skilled forward that score inside or stretch the floor with his shooting ability, also able to handle it on the perimeter when he needs to. Gersmehl holds an offer from Kennesaw State but his list should grow if he performs throughout the June live periods.

didn’t take the floor this year for Gainesville but that doesn’t take away from the massive strides he was making prior to being ruled ineligible. Gersmehl scores it well inside using the soft touch and neat footwork. We’ve seen his skillset expand outwards as well, comfortable handling the ball in open space and a consistent threat to knock down shots. Kennesaw State is his only offer so far.

Gersmehl pairs a strong post game with some sweet touch around the paint. When he needs to, Gersmehl can handle the rock better than most forwards as well. Kennesaw State was the first to offer back in September.

played a major role in Redline’s successful first year in the UA Rise, a strong and steady presence inside that’s shown a lot of development in the past year. He’s noticeably quicker on his feet now and isn’t limited to his back-to-the-basket post game; meanwhile, he’s still an effective scorer down there. I expect Gersmehl to see a heavy workload at South Forsyth this season.
