A capable three level scorer that consistently makes winning plays. Was not his best overall shooting performance but flashed other areas of his game. A vocal prescence all camp, took pride in his defesnive ability and showed physicality not backing down from any challenge. A workhorse that knows how to operate as a focal point in the offense and will assume a larger offensive load this season for Moravian Prep.

Allen jumped back in the mix with Game Elite 17u for the month of July and was flat out vital in the success they had as his blend of scoring and toughness gave them a necessary element in their lineup. Allen is a super physical driver where he’s able to overpower smaller guards on his drives and finish in traffic at a high rate. He’s a streaky outside shooter and was able to get hot multiple times throughout the course of the weekend. Allen is also a super strong rebounder for his position and it reflected with his July averages of 14.4 Points, 5.5 Rebounds, 0.7 Assists, 1.1 Steals all on 49/36/86 splits. He holds an offer from Queens and I expect that list to grow soon.

Another one of the biggest head-turners from the week in Rock Hill is Allen. Matt showcased his ability to positively impact the game whether his shots were falling or not, running with Game Elite in the 3SSB finale. He is an excellent finisher around the rim, plays bigger than his listed size, and is always engaged defensively. Allen saved his two best games for last, going for 20 points on 3-6 3FG against ETG and 22 points and 12 rebounds on 3-4 3FG against Washington Warriors. Now having seen Matt multiple times over the summer, I am increasingly confident in his ability to be a winning player over the next four years, no matter the level or his role.

Allen led the charge for TLBA UAA this past weekend with Isaac Ellis Isaac Ellis 5'11" | PG Moravian Prep / YNG Dreamerz Overtime Elite | 2026 #113 Nation OH out with injury. He averaged 24 Points and 6.5 Rebounds per game. Allen is a high level catch and shoot option with the ability to play above the rim in transition. Defensively his motor is always running along with being a really strong rebounder for his size/position. Allen is constantly making 2nd and 3rd efforts that lead to a rebound being secured or a loose ball battle being won. His do it all mindset along with his level of effort makes his production nearly undeniable. Allen can get streaky shooting the ball and if that aspect of his game ups in consistency, he could see a real rise in the next rankings update. His ability to step up with his team short handed has been very impressive and will certainly bode well for him as this group gets back to full strength very soon.

Allen had a really strong season in Overtime Elite with The YNG Dreamerz/Moravian Prep and has a chance to follow the path of other shot makers who have come through the same program. Though his game is much different than both Abu Yarmah and Kohl Rosario Kohl Rosario 6'5" | SF Moravian Prep / YNG Dreamerz Overtime Elite | 2026 NC , he has many of the same traits as those two and they had a ton of success under this system. Allen started to emerge as a feature piece for this team as the season went along, and I fully expect him to pick up right where he left off once this group continues play this summer on the UAA circuit with TLBA. Allen had a few breakout games in the OTE Playoffs in a season where he really established himself as a division one prospect with his ability to make shots off the catch, provide a ton of energy at both ends, and show the flashes of athleticism in transition where he finished above the rim with consistency. He’s a perfect system fit for what TLBA does and finds himself in a role where he’ll be relied on to score the ball and he appears to be more than ready for the challenge ahead.

Allen has been a great addition to North Carolina as he enjoyed a really strong season at Moravian Prep and in the OTE league. With deep range and above the rim pop, Allen fits the mold of a few other guys to come to Moravian and see their recruitment skyrocket after going all in on development. There’s a good chance that happens here as Allen has an incredible foundation to build upon and from all accounts is a real worker in the gym. He showed that he can be a feature guy when needed and when his teammates got hurt he delivered signature performances in big spots. He averaged 11.9 Points, 6.2 Rebounds, 1.7 Assists, and 1.3 Steals per game on 42/31/68 splits. If Allen can improve his efficiency as his usage also goes up next season, his ranking will surely rise as it will be undeniable at that point.

Now at Moravian Prep and in the class of 2027, expect Allen to be in the upper echelon of those rankings when they drop. Allen is as Coach Ellis would describe a “jugg” meaning that he just does what he’s supposed to do, to the best of his abilities, with toughness being on the forefront of everything. Allen has deep range on his shot, capable of playing above the rim in the open floor, and has an elite pursuit of the basketball on the glass or really whenever it’s available. Allen fits in like a glove with everything Moravian does. Allen does a great job flourishing within the Moravian system while possessing the individual talent to make plays within it. With the physical gifts and skillset that he possesses, expect Allen’s stock to continue to rise, and his game to show an even greater level of evolution with the time he’ll be spending at Moravian.

Up from 29: Pure scorer. Averaged nearly 35 points per game at Gatewood and now joins Newton, a huge step up in competition. Athletic shooter is knock-down off the catch. D-I offers shouldn’t be far off.

Elite scorer has deep range and a quick release. Has seen his stock rise over the past two seasons playing with Game Elite. Provides immediate offense off the bench. While three-point shooting is his forte, 237-670 (35%) over his last two seasons, Allen is also a bouncy athlete that can finish with dunks downhill. Matt posted 35.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3.7 steals per game.

Up from No. 46: Electrifying scorer flat out strokes the ball from distance. Is more than a one trick pony however. Has a quick first step to the hoop and finishes above the rim. Averaged 34.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 4.5 steals last season. Spent time with Game Elite over the offseason, gaining more exposure.
