Middletown 2028s

The Cavaliers are perennial contenders in Flight A and will continue to be so during the 2025-26 season. It's super early but they also have the ingredients to be state title contenders for the next few years after that because of their cadre of rising sophomores. [player_tooltip player_id='2402317' first='Brian' last='Carey II'], [player_tooltip player_id='2622944' first='Logan' last='Eldridge'], [player_tooltip player_id='2620906' first='Amir' last='Burgess'], [player_tooltip player_id='2622948' first='Sona' last='Mukwele'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2820021' first='Michel' last='Adams'] all play together for Cecil Strive 15U, one of the top teams on the ZGXL and HGSL circuits. Eldridge in particular was recognized as the #12 prospect in the ZGXL's player rankings. But there's more. In between catching passes at 7on7 tournaments, [player_tooltip player_id='2564248' first='Jeremiah' last='Swift'] has been hooping for Role Model Elite 15U & 16U. Of the Cavaliers 2028s, he's the only one who was on the Varsity roster during the regular season. He and Adams will steadily bring back more physicality from the gridiron to the hardwood. And all of them will collectively ensure that Middletown ain't going anywhere.

The Senators won it all on 2024, were runner-ups this year (2024-25), are two of the early favorites for 2025-26, and will stay up there thanks to the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='2519940' first='Joseph' last='Taylor'], [player_tooltip player_id='2519961' first='Braylon' last='Williams'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2839779' first='Maxwell' last='Stevenson']. Taylor was the only one on Varsity, but not part of the rotation. However, they did usher the JV squad to a 16-2 record. Since then, they've been making waves on their respective grassroots teams. Taylor is a toolsy, instinctive wing for We-R1. Williams is a big guard and connector for Delaware Certified Hoopers NXT PRO. And Stevenson is a wizard of a passer for Delaware Fusion. The Senators return a lot of experienced upperclassmen from last year's roster. But, should they be allowed to contribute, this trio offers something things that were missing a season ago.
