2028 Rankings: Rising Sophomores

One of the top shooters in the class, Newton has everything needed to become one of the better all around scorers in 2028. When his feet are set and he shoots in rhythm, it often looks automatic from three. He's continuing to work on his all around game, especially with improved handles and moves in the mid-range. Very intriguing longterm traits, who is a big part of why the talent isn't running dry anytime soon at Crossings Christian     Baba is a quick twitch athlete, with outstanding leaping skills. Is already starting to play above the rim. Putback dunks and skying bocks are starting to become more frequent with him. Motor seems to be picking up, which is his path to a big impact while the rest of skillset develops. One of the higher upsides prospects in the class, and a prime candidate to be a riser as part of the new era for Edmond Santa Fe this winter.     Bezenah is another representation of the depth of upside prospects in 2028. The young forward prospect is still growing and could turn into turn post prospect. But there are some perimeter aspects to his game. Right now he gets active around the rim, making use of his size and athletic ability. An active AAU spring, should set the stage for a big sophomore campaign in the 918.     One of the breakout prospects of regional AAU play. The bouncy wing-forward has routinely caught the eye of PrepNetwork contributors. Including recent notes about his improving jumper and all around perimeter player. Sky high ceiling, with strong indicators that he could continue to rise.     Continuing the theme of bouncy tweener prospects. Johnson is another youngster who is starting to play above the rim. At his best when he's a high motor two-way impact player. Cleaning the glass or blocking shots on defense, while an offensive rebound and lob threat. Has the movement profile to be a bigger guard/wing as well. As long as he puts the time into developing his handles and shooter. While hopefully keeping a mindset of being impact in the paint.     Woodson had one of the more productive springs of the Class of 2028. Continuing to grow physically and with a strong scoring skill set. Has been empowered by his AAU program to be a primary scorer, with good off the dribble shooting ability. Very promising fundamental based for him to become a difference making guard as his high school career progresses.
