There are plenty of bright spots in the 2027 Tennessee player rankings. More updates are coming down the road. The top 10 is solid with [player_tooltip player_id='2101889' first='Justin' last='Frison'], [player_tooltip player_id='2133810' first='Ty' last='Cobb'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2291122' first='Dylan' last='Jones'] leading the way.

Right behind them are [player_tooltip player_id='1719620' first='Ryan' last='Wingard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2376260' first='Davis' last='Cochran'] rounding out the top 5. [player_tooltip player_id='2283274' first='Antonio' last='McGaughey'] is back in the state at No. 6. [player_tooltip player_id='2133797' first='Bryson' last='Wade'], [player_tooltip player_id='2111892' first='Jordan' last='Myles'], [player_tooltip player_id='2765352' first='Asa' last='Fortune'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2716618' first='Korajo' last='Dickens'] complete the top 10.

The top 10 could change, again. That's a real possibility.

Here are 4 prospects who could move inside the top 10:

[player_tooltip player_id='2260983' first='Jamir' last='Dean'], Alcoa: Dean is currently No. 12. Dean is a 6-foot-3 guard that's really active on both ends of the floor. Dean can play at both guard spots. He plays with high energy on every possession. Dean finishes well around the rim, alter shots at the rim, and gets into the lane with ease. He's a reliable shooter from the perimeter. Dean is knocking on the door of being a top 10 player in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2236492' first='Kobi' last='Jackson'], Independence: Jackson is having a productive AAU season for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078775' first='Tennessee' last='Tigers'] 16U team. He will get the opportunity to lead the Eagles once the 2025 season tips off. Jackson is a lefty point guard with smooth ball handles and a niche for fitting tight passes into gaps. He can make shots from the perimeter and finish at the rim. There's a lot to like about Jackson. He's due for a breakout high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2781134' first='Christian' last='Coleman'], Collierville: Coleman moved up double-digits to No. 16. The 6-6 forward was the Dragons' lone bright spot last season. Coleman can control the glass and get a lot of second-chance points. He knows how to finish around the rim. Coleman moves well up and down the floor. If he's one of the best players in Class 4A in 2025, his stock will go through the roof.

[player_tooltip player_id='2283268' first='Greg' last='Spight'], Briarcrest: Spight was in the top 10 in the last two updates. He fell a handful of spots to No. 15. That's mainly because of the foot injury he suffered doing the second half of the 2024 season. He just wasn't on the floor to finish the house he was building. Before the injury, Spight was playing quality basketball, cementing his place as the Saints' No. 2 scoring option behind [player_tooltip player_id='1760996' first='Fred' last='Smith']. During the spring/summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078772' first='Team' last='Thad'] 16U, his best game in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League came against Team USC Unleashed where he scored 13 points on 5 of 7 shooting. Spight is one of the more talented guards in this class. If he stays healthy, Spight will produce.

There are plenty of bright spots in the 2027 Tennessee player rankings. More updates are coming down the road. The top 10 is solid with Justin Frison Justin Frison Justin Frison 6'0" | PG Houston | 2027 State TN , Ty Cobb Ty Cobb Ty Cobb 6'2" | PG Upperman | 2027 State TN , and Dylan Jones Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'5" | SG Tennessee Collegiate Academy | 2027 State TN leading the way.
