1/30/26: Scored 21 points. Kobi made the game’s first basket of the second half after a forgettable first half offensively (4p). He did miss his next two, shots he believed makeable. Kobi did drive and dish for a big three midway through the third quarter. His gravity collapsed the defense, and the made triple expanded the game to 31-22 IHS, their biggest lead of the game to that point. Kobi was particularly effective during a 15-7 Indy run in the third.
Nolensville tried to get a quick score with seven seconds left.

Kobi recently made history by breaking the Independence High School boys basketball record for most assists in a single game, dishing out 13 assists in a statement performance. The previous record was held by current Division I player Tylen Lewis, making the achievement even more significant. In the win, he masterfully controlled the game’s tempo, getting his teammates involved as multiple players finished in double figures. He paired his playmaking with efficiency, committing just one turnover while recording a double-double in points and assists.

9/28/25: Exceptional handles. Kobi is a former PrepHoopsTN Combine Young MVP and he excelled at this same event last fall. Kobi’s career with Independence High was as understudy to Jett Montgomery and then Tylan Lewis, but the keys to the car were handed to him in June. This is his team now. Jackson can shoot or pass at an elite level. If he were 2-3 inches taller, then he could be a pure catch-and-shoot guy though his passing and handles are so pure that point guard is a wonderful role.

Jackson is quite the table-setter at the floor general spot with the Tennessee Tigers ; he did well orchestrating offense as well as showcasing his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter; he showed nice range and did well moving without the ball to make things happen as a catch-and-shoot threat; he’s a rising name to keep eyes on in Tennessee’s 2027 class

6/20/25: A familiar name to readers of PrepHoops.com/Tennessee. Kobi is finally holding the keys to the bus at Independence High. To be fair he played behind some program greats, if not two of the greatest three (Jett Montgomery, Tylan Lewis). Both are D1 basketball players now. Kobi gets wherever he wants to on the floor with elite handle and great composure. He can react to defenses and pick his spots. Ideally, IHS will be able to get Kobi open looks too as Jackson buries three-pointers when open.
