At the end of March we had 251 players to rank for the 2027 class and now we are at 265 players.

15 players are new and one moved to a different state.

Of the 15 new players, only 2 fell in the top-100 and 9 in the top-200. The other 6 fell in the top-265.

Our goal at PrepHoopsAZ is to try and recognize anyone who may play college basketball. We will keep searching for new players in preseason camps/events/leagues/Prep Hoops Circuit, AOG AZ High Academic Camp, Arizona Top-250 EXPO, my personal Southwest Basketball Camp and during the AIA/CAA/OTE/NIBC/EIBC/Grind Session seasons.

1. We had one player pick up their 1st D1 offer with [player_tooltip player_id='1464983' first='Mick' last='Riordan'] of St. Mary's.

2. 4 of the top 2027 players are ranked in the top-20 impressively on different national websites.

3. It would not surprise me to see [player_tooltip player_id='2241513' first='Lyris' last='Robinson'] eventually get ranked nationally either.

4. Not sure what colleges are waiting on with [player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond'], he could be the next player to get offered.

5. Rankings are based on a lot of things. Production, size for position, college coaches, the eye test, ability to score and defend, instincts, IQ, how a player moves, speed, ball handling, shooting, fundamentals. length and possible upside. It is not the easiest thing to do since not all players play in the same leagues for AAU and HS. They can be in the CAA, Grind Session, EIBC, OTE and the AIA obviously has different levels. Plus AAU teams may play on National Circuits (3SSB, UAA and EYBL) or play on independent or up and coming circuits (Pangos, NxtPro, EYCL, UAA Rise, Prep Hoops, WCE, New Balance, The Stage and so on). So you put all that information together and create the rankings.

6. Of the 265 players we have 81 PG's, 47 SG's, 44 CG's, 51 SF's, 29 PF's and 14 C's.

7. This class is VERY top heavy for PG's and wings. Not many "bigs: in the class and they will probably get pushed up a little.
