The State of Kansas is blessed this year to have 6 young men who seem to have what it takes to play at the pro level, in my honest opinion. These guys truly have games that will excel in D1 college and beyond, but for now, the curtains have opened on their senior seasons. From the outside looking in, I see some strong leaders and young men of God who are changing the landscape of what it truly means to be a highly-touted prospect. I'm seeing well-rounded individuals who happen to also have well-rounded games to match on the hardwood. As I witness this from afar, my calendars are set to see these top-ranked guys live in person this year, as many of them will undoubtedly have the opportunity to play professionally in the coming years. Getting to see which of these guys improves in the upcoming year and over the summer is what will make 2025-26 a must-see Kansas H.S. Basketball season throughout the entire state.

6'8 Pure shooter/scorer who recently shot up to the #1 ranked prospect in the state of Kansas. Plays with attitude, passion and seems to be extremely confident in his game, which I believe might be the biggest reason for his rise. One of the many highly touted prospects out of Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, KS. Among these elite teammates, Aidan still stands out, which to me says a lot.

#2 ranked player out of Kansas, but can easily switch to #1 after watching him. Ethan is a dominant 7'1 big man on both ends who already has a well-developed middy, and he has overall good form on his jump shot. He keeps his form high from set-up to release, which I like for a big. He is good at establishing a position in the low post despite having a more slender build. With that, he still plays strong and with a lot of power. Has long arms like [player_tooltip player_id='2205760' first='Anthony' last='Davis'], so his defensive recovery is unreal. Ethan is plenty comfortable stretching the floor beyond the arc, but also doesn't seem to fall in love with his jump shot. He has a solid, soft-touch lefty baby hook in the post when he's in front of the rim that seems hard to stop, to say the least. In the post, on turnaround moves to the basket, I would like to see him keep the ball a little higher to prevent the guards from reaching in for deflections. Once he does that, though, the rest will be elementary.

#3 ranked in the state of Kansas, who is another super-star out of Sunrise Christian Academy. Has a beautiful game to watch; he plays with poise, patience, and has smooth overall mechanics to his movement on the floor. Whenever he makes a shot, the nets on the rim sound different. The last time I heard the nets sound like that was when I was watching Dirk Nowitzki play live in New Orleans against the Hornets at the time, through the loud rim microphones they have in the league. Chidi's buckets didn't have microphones on the rim, so this was very eye-opening. This is when I realized that Chid's swishes are so pure that the sound wave can travel and possibly shatter glass. They may need to go ahead and ban the microphones when he decides to go pro.

#4 ranked in the state of Kansas. Gavin is visibly fundamentally sound. He has great foot mechanics when creating space or initiating contact. Seems to stay engaged defensively at all levels, especially on ball defense around the perimeter, which is pretty scary at his size. Gavin also plays for Sunrise Christian Academy; he and his brother Gallagher seem to be the anchors for this star-studded team.

#5 ranked in the state of Kansas, and is a point-forward like his brother, Gavin, both @ Sunrise Christian Academy. He can seamlessly transition and play inside or out with the appropriate amount of physicality needed, combined with solid ball skills. He is comfortable playing point and then crashing the boards for his own rebound and powering through with dunks on contact. Gallagher also doesn't seem to do things just for show; he relies on effectiveness on both sides of the court. His game reminds me of a young Anthony Mason, actually, but with a little less physicality and a little more athleticism and height.

#6 Ranked in the state of Kansas. Late starter to the sport, but that could be a good thing considering the pantheon of Bigs who were late starters or late bloomers. Noah, from my understanding, was originally a baseball guy who decided to recently commit to basketball once he started to see his natural gifts and potential on display. At Sunrise Christian Academy, Noah is around some talent that will elevate his game to the next level, I believe. The kid is already doing Vince Carter warm-up dunks in the lay-up lines with ease. Noah is the most gifted leaper I have seen since Gerald Green in the NBA, so he has a good athletic base to start from. Once I saw him block a shot and palm it in mid-air, and then proceed to take it coast-to-coast, I realized that his basketball IQ ain't far off either. Not many shot blockers will attempt to catch the ball and start a fast break (i.e., Bill Russell). Noah is already an Elite Defender/Rim Protector and a constant lob threat from anywhere on the floor, it seems.
