A mobile 6-6 big man with soft hands, good footwork, and deft touch around the rim, Pfaltzgraff was able to control the game on both ends of the floor against an undersized Winterset team on Saturday morning. He showed patience on his post touches, analyzing the defense and then attacking, either finishing through the contact or getting to the free-throw line. He showed a bit of a face-up game, with range out to the arc, and he also showed some ability to be a shot creator out of the high-post area, flashing good vision and passing instincts, finding cutting teammates for layups. He does a nice job keeping the ball high after pulling down rebounds and is a willing passer out of the double. He finished with 25 points and was great on the glass on both ends of the floor.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2419810' first='Easton' last='McGraw'] (Indianola)

A long wing with good size, McGraw was in constant attack mode for the Indians in their narrow loss to Waukee. He loves to play downhill and get to the rim, using his handles, long strides, and ability to absorb contact to get to the bucket for finishes or to get to the free-throw line. Although he didn't knock down anything from the arc, the form on his jumper looks good. He's active on the glass, particularly on the offensive end, and his length allows him to impact the game defensively.

Both of the Waukee senior guards were quiet for the first three quarters but took over the game in the fourth, carrying them to a win over Indianola. Both are really good ball-handlers who use their speed and handles to their advantage, playing downhill and attacking the rim. White is a physical guard who can absorb contact, while Roach is more of a crafty, creative finisher around the bucket, finding ways to contort his body and avoid the contact when he finishes.

2027 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2420802' first='Audric' last='Pelzer'] (Norwalk)

Pelzer was really good in Norwalk's blowout win over Pleasantville, in complete command of the Warriors' offensive attack both as a scorer and a playmaker. He showcased impressive vision and passing instincts, seeing the floor at a high level and finding open teammates on the opposite wings for open looks from 3. He has a quick first step that he uses to blow by defenders, and does a great job changing direction without losing any speed. A talented all-around player who impacts the game on both ends of the floor, he finished with 19 points and a handful of assists in the win.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1874786' first='Jameson' last='Demaray'] (Norwalk)

A strong, tough guard who likes to play downhill and use his physicality to his advantage, Demaray was routinely able to get to the rim, both in transition and in the halfcourt, against Pleasantville en route to a game-high 20 points. He's an active defender with quick hands, is strong on the glass, and his physicality allows him to defend a little bigger than his size.

2028 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2917300' first='Tate' last='Troster'] (ADM)

A 6-3 guard with good size and length, Troster had a really nice game against Knoxville, impressing as both a two-level scorer (rim, arc) and as a playmaker. He has a good feel for the game, sees the floor well, plays with pace, and can get to the rim off the dribble. He's a really talented shooter both off the dribble and the catch who can help space the floor for some of the other really skilled offensive weapons that the Tigers have.

2027 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2231637' first='Lincoln' last='Norris'] (Knoxville)

Few players in the state are more electric as shooting threats when they get it rolling than Norris, and he got it rolling against ADM in the fourth quarter, knocking down three straight 3s as part of a five 3 performance. He's an elite shooter with a quick release, unlimited range, and great off-ball movement. He does a nice job getting his feet set before he catches, but he's also a skilled off-balance shooter. He played with the ball in his hands a bit more this weekend than he did last year, and looked comfortable using the threat of his shot to allow him to attack the rim. Following a number of losses to graduation, Norris is going to have the ultimate green light this winter and he could have some massive scoring games. He finished with 21 in the loss to ADM.
