The Weekly Top Five!

(1) [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']

(2) [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Hibbs

(4) [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Wilde

(5) Hoop Habits Grigsby

Undefeated

The [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] Panthers went four and zero. The headline game was them beating ETG 3SSB by a dozen points. That game is big because [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] beat that same team by 15 points. Pulley also beat the Playmakers by 28, beat Martin Brothers by four, and beat Warwick by a point. That was a big slate and they handled it well.

So.... Pulley beat ETG by 12, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] beat them by 15. Does that slight edge give [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] the edge? It could. But the discussion is also, who has had the better record this year in all games. I would say Pulley has had a better year but does one basket in a game trump that? There is also, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] has played up in their non shoe events, how do you compare that? Tough call to make and oh great, I get to make it. But the best part is.... it's a fun conversation!

[program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] was in the 16s and they beat back end top 10 team Heat GVR by a point, beat back end top 10 team Fury Goring by eight, and the beat Chapman West.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Hibbs was the kind of close game wins. They beat Comets Haider by a score WC Wildcats by a score 26ers from Wisconsin by two scores, and Titans Hill by two scores. Four wins by a combined 14 points.

Another undefeated team was Hoop Habits Grigsby who not only won their pool but they went 4-0 overall because they had a nice win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] in the cross pool title game.

A statement was made by Lightning Snider who had two blowout wins and two close game wins. Close wins over the Wisconsin Wave and SSA SD White.

Quality 4-1/3-1 Run

If you want to start comparing common opponents, Fury Wilde beat Martin Brothers by 18 which was the widest margin. Fury also beat Hoop Troop by a ton and beat Davis Brothers but lost to Warwick.

Hoop Habits earned a 3-1 weekend with a nice win defeating Fury Shepherd but they lost to WCU in a big game at this age level. Overall, another solid showing.

Minnesota Lightning Bailey got three wins in four games beating two out of state teams and then beating the Bulldogs locally.

Next Weekend!

There are some teams traveling to their circuits, some teams are staying close and playing, and some are taking the weekend off because the open period not only is meaning less and less than it used to, it really means next to nothing at 15u as D1 colleges are not going to watch much more than one or two players in the state at this age.
