The 2025 Space City Collision in Houston was filled with multiple talented teams playing throughout the weekend. Many of the teams I was able to watch played a very physical brand of basketball. Early on Saturday I was able to scout five players who played with great effort!

[player_tooltip player_id='2112011' first='Payton' last='Jones'] is a 6'1 guard that has many ways of impacting both ends of the floor. Against Cenla Hoops, offensively he displayed a fluid shooting form that he used in the mid-range and perimeter resulting in made field goals in multiple spots. When handling the ball, he has shiftiness that creates open driving lanes for himself and passing opportunities to his teammates especially after defensive stops. His vision was evident getting multiple teammates involved within the offensive. Defensively he showed that he had good reaction time to jumping passes when opposing guards tried to pass the ball over him resulting in stealing. Also, he was on the defensive glass a lot which turned into started transition opportunities for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252213' first='Xavier' last='Muhammad'] is a polarizing post player that had his way scoring up close against Cenla Hoops. Throughout the game it seemed like nobody had an answer for guarding him when his back was to the basket. What makes Xavier polarizing is his physical frame using it to his advantage to establish positioning in the lane. At times he drew fouls while scoring up close, finishing through it which turned into three-point opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='2557039' first='Christian' last='Brown'] has been a prospect that has been talked about for a while in the Houston area. I was able to finally watch him play Saturday as he impressed me with his play. With the ball in his possession, he is a very quick guard that can get to the rim with ease. [player_tooltip player_id='2557039' first='Christian' last='Brown'] makes smart and timely decisions limiting mistakes while handling the ball. In transition he likes to really push the pace facilitating to open teammates or getting layups on his own. On the defensive side of ball, he has active hands taking the ball from not only guards on the perimeter but big men in the post as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2949836' first='Noah' last='Lewis'] was definitely a top rebounder throughout the 16U division as he showed relentless effort especially on defensive rebounds. He mainly scored the ball in transition getting layup and dunk opportunities. At times he will grab offensive rebounds resulting in extra possessions for his team. Defensively Noah can cover a lot of ground being able to guard different positions on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2831941' first='Zaiden' last='Warnell'] is a shot making guard, when you leave him room to shoot, he will do just that making the Runovo Basketball 16U respect him on all three levels. When he has the ball, he creates scoring opportunities for himself using his ball handling skills smoothly to blow by or create space from his defenders. Zaiden can get on a hot streak quickly scoring the ball at will. He did a good job of finding his teammates in transition showing his vision in fast paced play.
