The Texas Jamboree, which was held in the Houston area, served as the epicenter for high school basketball throughout Friday and Saturday. This event attracted teams from Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, bringing together a diverse pool of talent that many teams were unfamiliar with. As a result, the event became truly memorable. In this article, I will highlight the four names that put together a good performance in the Katy Tompkins VS North Shore matchup at the Texas Jamboree! Beyond his scoring, Carter demonstrated his toughness, particularly when securing rebounds. He is undoubtedly a 2026 forward with the potential to excel at the college level. In his game against North Shore High School, he was able to score 17 points due to his aggressive downhill ability. Throughout the game Hans finished plays with craftiness when he got inside the interior off dribble penetration. With the ball in his hands he showed he can maintain his dribble even with opposing ball pressure being tight. Hans's stock goes up every time he puts up good performances like these.     North Shore's [player_tooltip player_id='2556248' first='Dillon' last='Colbert'] emerged as the standout performer in the matchup against Katy Tompkins, amassing an impressive 18 points. His exceptional shooting, particularly his three-point shots, played a pivotal role in propelling his team during the latter half of the game. Colbert's consistent movement and active play have a knack for creating significant plays off the ball. Defensively, his 6'5” height creates disruption when he pressures his opponents with the ball. Such performances will boost his stock even further.     Samuel Walker is a force on both ends of the floor at North Shore High School. On offense, he showcased his ability to play above the rim and finish plays with contact, scoring 9 points. Defensively, he anchors the paint with his rim protection and rebounding which results in securing stops. Walker is definitely a player college coaches should keep an eye on as he prepares to graduate in the class of 2027. Outside of his skills, Samuel's vocal presence significantly influences the intensity of the game, which in turn impacts his teammates.
