About Dillon
Expert Analysis
Charles Yates | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the stronger defensive guards I have had my eye on this year, Dillon constantly makes plays with his physical perimeter defense, and this allows North Shore to score in transition and on fastbreaks consistently. Colbert makes defenses pay when left open from range and can bury jump shots in the midrange as well off the dribble. He also shoots efficiently in the paint with good floaters and finishing under the basket. Standing at about 6’3, Dillon also has height and length to block opponent’s perimeter shots and play passing lanes well. Colbert is currently uncommitted for AAU this grassroots season.

Fluid catch-to-shoot motion, going straight up the moment the ball touched his hands. Colbert displayed the ability to catch it high and keep it high into his follow-through. His touch was consistent across all three levels, converting soft floaters and short jumpers with control.

emerged as the standout performer in the matchup against Katy Tompkins, amassing an impressive 18 points. His exceptional shooting, particularly his three-point shots, played a pivotal role in propelling his team during the latter half of the game. Colbert’s consistent movement and active play have a knack for creating significant plays off the ball. Defensively, his 6’5” height creates disruption when he pressures his opponents with the ball. Such performances will boost his stock even further.
