The South Dakota 2028 class is a strong class with some top-end talent, especially strong in the top 10-20 prospects.

We'll look at some of the top developments and some key stock-risers and new additions in an all-in one rankings article.

I went back and watched [program_tooltip program_id='2228190' first='TEAM' last='Warwick'] 15U on BallerTV, and Dieleman is playing with more coordination, toughness, and is improving as a paint-scorer. He's still at the 6'8” mark, but hopefully he can catch a growth spurt soon.

Lundin is a major-talking point and the featured stock-riser from this update. He rises up into the #3 spot after I was able to see him up close and live at Prep Hoops Stomping Grounds. Lundin played up with the 16U's with [program_tooltip program_id='2250291' first='Hoop' last='City South Dakota'] 16U Joey as a 2028 prospect. He was still able to standout as a lengthy BIG that can run and jump at an elite level. Lundin is a legit rim-protector and rebounder.

Wagner is having a really good early offseason with [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy SF'] 15U Black. He is his normal dominant interior force self, but his decision-making as a passer when extra defensive bodies are thrown at him was a new thing I noticed. He doesn't really do anything flashy, he just has solid overall size, strength, a motor, and an attacking playstyle.

Weber makes it back into the top 10 after having a big tournament at Stomping Grounds in front of Prep Hoops Dakotas. He can kind of do everything on the court as a true point guard that can score the ball. An offense creator that can hit jumpers. He was hitting stepback threes, scoring in the middle, and getting out in transition.

Caden may be a surprise at his now #13 ranking, but he has upside to go even higher. He is nowhere near a finished product and he has a ton of potential going forward. Caden definitely has the bloodline going in his favor, and that should be given consideration as well. He's super long for his age as a 6'6” wing/forward that can play on the perimeter. His 3-point shot is improving steadily. If he can improve his ball-handling and work on that consistently, I think that is what will set him up for reaching his potential. He also needs to get in the weight room and improve his playing strength.

Jensen is a new name to the rankings board and he lands fairly high at #23 overall. I see some good upside with his athletic ability, if he's able to perfect his already fairly solid skillset. He has a nice-looking 3-ball and some decent handles already. He just needs to go to that next level.

Visker is a rankings stock-riser after his big offseason of shooting the three for [program_tooltip program_id='2832803' first='Impact' last=''] 15U. He's aggressive from three and one of the top 3-point threats in the class, that also has some solid positional size.

Kroll enters the rankings and debuts at #32. He's a solid two-way guard with a solid overall profile. He's on a stacked Groton Area and [program_tooltip program_id='2337876' first='James' last='Valley Thunder'] 15U-Weber team and completes the Big 3 with Zak and Weber.

Plamp rises up the board a few spots, mostly because of his defensive ability and defensive effort. He's a team defender and has the frame to defend the ball at a high-level as well.

Jensen debuts on the watchlist after I saw him at Prep Hoops Brawl For The Ball. He's a wing with decent size with shooting ability, playing with new program [program_tooltip program_id='2855860' first='E3' last='Elite'] out of Rapid City, South Dakota.
