Last weekend at DMV Live, this long, and athletic power forward with a solid frame showed he owns tremendous upside. Diene glided down the court, so he quickly went rim to rim and contributed on the fast break. On half-court possessions he was a force on the interior. Diene produced points on post ups, lobs and via the offensive glass. He also flashed the ability to score out of pick-n-roll action. In all those scenarios, Diene's length and leaping ability allowed him to finish over the top of defenders. At the other end of the court, Diene was an intimidating rim protector and dominated the defensive boards. College coaches need to buy in early on Diene because he will develop into a force.

How college coaches are still sleeping on Hughes is a mystery to me. During the 2024-25 high school season, Hughes was a 1st Team All-SOL selection as well as key piece of Upper Moreland's run to the 5A state tourney semifinals. Next, Hughes was a standout performer on the April grassroots circuit. Then last weekend Hughes impressed again at the Spring Jam Fest with his half-court finishing skills and ability to play above the rim in transition. In the half-court, Hughes worked off-ball to score on dives to the cup and back door cuts as well as out of pick-n-roll action and the by grabbing offensive rebounds for put backs. He also flashed the ability to face up and then execute one or two dribble attacks on the hoop. At the other end of the court, Hughes hauled in numerous tough rebounds. Last weekend, Hughes posted a double double of 16 points and 13 rebounds against Excel Elite.

On a TFR squad that is filled with bucket getters, Mason is the maestro responsible for directing the show and spreading the rock around. At EYCL S2, Mason's speed, slick handles and court vision enabled him to blow past defenders on the fast break and in the half-court. Once he was below the arc, Mason delivered well-timed passes to slashing teammates, the dunker spot and spot up shooters. When he was looking to score on those paint touches, Mason unleashed tear drops, kissed runners off the glass and popped mid-range jumpers. Plus, Mason flashed a smooth three-point stroke that was especially accurate off the bounce.

At the UAA S2 in Cincinnati, Waters showed that he is a unique two-way guard prospect. On defense Waters was an extraordinarily disruptive on-ball presence. Waters guarded for 94 feet, and the combination of his speedy lateral movements and active hands produced numerous steals. Waters also had a knack for grabbing every loose ball. On offense, Waters scored at every level. His quick first step and elusive handles got Waters to the rack where he laid the ball in with either hand. His dribble drive skills set was complimented by an accurate 3-point stroke. College coaches will love that Waters was willing to do all the “dirty work” that helped produce wins.
