Prep Hoops Live was at it again in Romeoville on Saturday. Here are my top players from the Saturday's Prep Hoops Live games in Romeoville.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531979' first='CJ' last='Pittman'] Work Foundation 2028 (Payton) 6'1

Pittman is a freshman playing up two levels and you could never tell it was a difference. He was solid off the dribble scoring in multiple ways and doing a good job of setting guys up. He had a team high of 19 points in a win over the MN Suns.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832915' first='Grant' last='Poorman'] [program_tooltip program_id='2414566' first='Mike' last='Glennon Elite'] (St. Ignatius) 6'3 2026

Grant started the game on fire going 5 for 5 from the three-point line. He's a muscular guard who keeps things simple and doesn't just jack up a ton of shots. Poorman got better as the game went along scoring layups off straight-lined drives and shedding smaller guards. He finished the game with 35 points.

Ledarrell Goss UEBL Wolves 6'3 (Perspectives MSA) 2026

Goss is a player I mentioned during the high school season. A three-level scoring guard who has some serious hops when he gets a clear lane at the rim. Ledarrell scored buckets in bunches and was also pretty good on defense getting his hands on a few errant passes one of which he turned into a crazy dunk. Goss led the game with 32 points and a win over Team Compete.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552441' first='Josh' last='Abushanab'] Play Hard Hoops 2026 (Glenbard West) 6'5

Josh is a player the PHI has watched since his freshman year. In his first live period game of the day as he went on a heater and scored 41 points. Abushanab has opened his game up and can play on the ball and off of it being effective and very vocal in the process. He managed to hit some very nice jumpers to show his much-improved shot. Josh has the skillset to be a D1 player.

Thomas McEachern MN Heat 2026 6'3

Thomas is a bigger wing who scored often using his athleticism around the basket. He can finish around the rim using either hand. He likes to play above the rim so much that he completed a windmill dunk to finish off the Fire USA team. A dual-sport (football) athlete. McEachern can go to school for either sport.

Eye Openers

[player_tooltip player_id='2822011' first='Sam' last='Amaya'] Team Compete 6'2 (Galena) 2026

Sam is a new player on the radar. A thicker guard who shoots it well but is also mobile with a good handle on the rock. He uses shot fakes and footwork around the rim to beat defenses. He had 21 points in the game I covered. Amaya can be a small school target.

Derrek Langit [program_tooltip program_id='2075732' first='Next' last='Generation'] 5'10 (Bolingbrook)

I liked what I saw from this small guard who showed a slick handle and a good shooting stroke. Derrek is a pesky guard who can get to his spot off the dribble and score in tight spaces. As a defender he was always around the ball disrupting the flow. Langit can play and we will monitor him going into June.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417064' first='Tristen' last='Wilcox'] PowerHouse Sports 2026 5-9 (Evanston)

Tristen is a small guard who gets his points. He can fill it up multiple ways around the rim and is a pretty good passer too. Wilcox made 4 threes before finishing with 26 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2864914' first='Osiris' last='Bell'] [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] USA 2027 (Kenwood) 6'1

Bell is a player who has been under the radar for a while, but that shouldn't be long because after making 7 three pointers in a game and playing up a level with a 17U squad his best games are still to come.
