My goal was to see as many top South Dakota 17U-15U teams as possible, with a coordination of variety. Some teams I did see more than once, others I only saw once.

Let's look at the top five most impressive South Dakota hoopers at Battle At The Lakes.

I opened up the day by popping into [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy SF'] 15U at Hopkins High School. [player_tooltip player_id='2437990' first='Tanner' last='Wagner'] happened to put on a masterpiece of a game. I'm not sure he missed a shot on 17 points. A perfect display of efficiency. He also made great decisions in the post when extra bodies were thrown at him. He contolled the glass as well, and Sanford 15U Black cruised to a dominant win.

I moved Bilal into the #3 spot in the South Dakota 2026 rankings and he's backing that decision up in a major way. He's been showing a boatload of upside with a high-level floor as well. 6'5” next-level length already, elite athleticism, and 3-point making and creating. If he gets better, we're talking big-time ability and the end result will be surprising to some.

Mebius was an important prospect to watch at Battle At The Lakes. He handled business and thensome. He was getting challenged by bigger defenders because of his 5'9” size. So Mebius crossed them over with an insanely quick crossover that brought him separtion to get deep in the lane. He also shot the three at a high clip. He was a mismatch. The tides were turned and things backfired for his opponents.

I happened to catch Craven pour in 39 points and nail 7 threes. He experienced high usage and high productivity. He was able to show off a clean handle on the ball with some creative and advanced moves against pressure and in the open court scenario. Created his own three and showed nice range from three in a set-and-shoot. He was highly active and busy on the boards. He was taking on contact and dishing it out as well. He played mean and showed an edge.

Ericsson moved himself into the #4 ranked ranked 2026 prospect. His skill is on an elite level and his skillset was noticeable even compared to some of the top dogs. He can play with anyone and compete on a court with anyone, in my opinion. Let's not forget he has an absurd 3-point game that was maybe the most impressive overall package I saw. There were some that shot a higher percentage, but they couldn't make the shots he was making. Range, consistency with his form, quick delivery, the ball doesn't come down from the pocket. Crazy feel for the game on the court and a quiet confidence are always on display. Spaces the floor and opens up everything.
