Prep Hoops Next brought out the 13U first-team selections from Prep Hoops Twin Cities Takedown yesterday, and after viewing more film throughout the night, we now have our second and third-team all-tournament teams. There's still some legit and high-end prospects on this list that nearly made the first-team.

Second-Team All-Tournament Team

Liam was one of the most lengthiest 13U prospects as a 6'3” forward. He was with Empire Elite out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He's long, agile, and can run and move well on the court. He's got skill as well. Has the ability to put the ball on the floor from the perimeter all the way to the rim. Klatt's passing ability was maybe his most standout skill that he showed at the tournament. He got to the middle of the lane and found cutters and open teammates for buckets. Legitimate prospect that, if he continues to grow taller, could be a D1 kid.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJAcHqXRcYr/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linku0026amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

[program_tooltip program_id='2221115' first='Midwest' last='Kings']' top 13U team went 4-0 and took the Silver Championship trophy. Eveland had a lot to do with the Kings' success at Twin Cities Takedown. For me, it all starts with his elite fluidity and movement on the court. He can anticipate and react so quickly and smoothly, with superior movement skills in all directions and facets. He flies around defensively, leaving his feet to make a play on the ball. Disrupts offensive gameplans and flow with his defensive style and ability. Best defensive and defensive playmaking guard in the 13U division. Has elite bounce and plays fast and fluid in transition on offense. To me, he's a 2-guard that can board-and-go and push the pace at an elite level. Can get to his spots on offense with his quickness and fluidity. I didn't see Carter live, but he turned out to be my favorite guard throughout the entire tournament and divisions.

It was hard leaving Seck off of the first-team all-tournament team. He had a great tournament and was a force in the paint. Seck is a true Big that is in the 6'2”-6'3” range. A back-to-the-basket post that lives in that area and doesn't stray too far away from the paint. He absolutely could not be left off of the offensive glass and he secured the ball strongly at a high-point and finished at the hoop with no wasted action when he got the o-board. It was probably between he and Pierre from H-A-L Elite on who brought in the most offensive rebounds. A big-time rim-protector as well. Often times, he doesn't follow his matchup closely if they leave the paint. He will stay and man the paint and make sure nothing easy gets by without some resistance.

Cavelli is an absolute baller and one of the the next up-and-coming point guards in North Dakota. A filthy handle on the ball, that he'll use to breakdown and then explode past defenders — as well as create space when being pressured. He can handle the ball at full pace and quickness. Has the ability to make a spin move as he's dribbling the ball. Elite explosion and acceleration with the ball in possession. His court vision up the court and finding holes in a defense in the half court was a trait I noticed. Throws dime and laser passes to teammates that are on target. He's a zone-buster for sure with his court sense and passing ability. As a defender, he will keep his man in front but he's also a gambler, trying to get the ball and a steal. He will come off his man to try and dig or create some sort of play on an unaware offensive player with the ball. I don't know the entire landscape of 2030 point guards in North Dakota, but he's most likely the top point guard in the class.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DI-Jk97RQ2P/?igsh=MW93NnJmNjAxanE3Yg==

The left-handed forward for PJ Hoops' top 13U team is an athletic, fluid, and strongly-built 4-man. He does his damage on the offensive glass for putbacks for buckets. He drew a bunch of fouls and was at the free-throw line, often. He could defend the full length of the court with great lateral feet. More of a glider than a quick-twitch athlete, but he's still moving well. When the ball goes up for a shot, he's looking to go get it, every time.

Haynes is a matchup nightmare for opposing guards trying to defend him and keep him in containment. His quick crossover is one of the best, quickest, and most effective crossovers I've ever seen for a prospect in his age group. His on-ball defense is suffocating for opposing point guards. He has top percentile lateral movement to pressure point guards. I don't foresee him having great positional size, but he's so dynamic, quick, and skilled that he will be a sought-after recruit. He's one for D2-D1 programs to monitor. I believe D2 is his floor, with D1 potential.

Third-Team All-Tournament Team

Jackson has a big frame and a unique offensive skillset. He was grabbing offensive rebounds for putback finishes and could also shoot a set three with accuracy. When setting a ball screen, he will both pop out for a three or roll to the hoop. He attacks the offensive boards when a shot goes up as well. It takes a strong box-out to keep him from getting deep and near the rim. He's not particularly dangerous off of the dribble at this time, but if he can develop some more skills as a ball-handler to be more of a creator, that would help his stock. He struggled at the hoop when a strong defender contested and got into him when going up for a bucket at the rim.

Stengel's transition play is his best skill or standout trait. He goes straight at the hoop in a near straight line and has no brakes. He's set on attacking and finishing or drawing contact. Solid size in the 5'10”-5'11” range. He has an average ball-handling skill-set and isn't fancy when driving and attacking. In the half-court he's more of a driver that is looking to kick the ball out to shooters. His team defense and help defense was impressive. He will step over and help a teammate that is beat off of the drive.
