Believe it or not, June basketball is just right around the corner which means we will be right back into high school play as summer kicks off. Spring AAU is in full swing right now, but that does not mean we cannot look ahead to June where we will see our in-state prospects get back with their respective high school squads for a full month. For the next few weeks, we will look at some players for each class and position group as I give you my personal watch list for the month of June. Of course, every player we have in the state is a must-watch, but here are four point guards in the 2027 class that you should focus on just a little bit more.

One of the top pure scorers in the state of Indiana is always going to be a name to watch and Breman point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2414954' first='Chase' last='Devine'] is easily one of them. For the past two years, [player_tooltip player_id='2414954' first='Chase' last='Devine'] has been a straight bucket and during his sophomore season, he averaged 22.0 points per game. The 6-foot-2 point guard is a player that excels with the ball in his hand and can be a true playmaker on the floor. Going into his junior season, he will be a name to go ahead and take notice of this coming June.

Homestead has a very strong group of underclassman that will look to carry them the next few years and one of those players is 6-foot-0 point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2054869' first='Jake' last='Coolman']. Coolman is a smooth, lefty guard that controls the pace of the game at all times and is a really crafty playmaker with the ball in his hands. He played a role for Homestead this past season and going into next year, he will be tasked to level up his play. June will be a kickstart month for him into his junior season.

A player in the 2027 class that can do a lot with the ball in his hands is Tri-West point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2414736' first='Ryan' last='Miller']. The 6-foot-0 point guard is coming off a breakthrough sophomore year with his 13.5 points and 3.1 assists per game. He has been rolling with GPP 16u Black this spring and has displayed a ton of confidence on passes and his overall shooting from deep. I would not be shocked to see him see a jump in his rise if he has a strong showing come June.

Ott-Large is one of the higher ranked players we will have in this watch list series for June but even with his ranking, he still feels just a tad under-the-radar when you discuss the top guard prospects in the 2027 in-state class. He is a player that has gotten better and better as he has grown as a high school player becoming a guy you give the ball to and tell him to go make a play. He has a strong frame that he loves to use to attack the lane and he will either bully his way to the basket or hit a pull-up jumper over the defense. He averaged 16,9 points, 4.5 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game last season for LaPorte.
