He is an exceptional passer and has great vision, setting his teammates up for success all game. He is an elite scorer, being able to pull up off the dribble from the perimeter and use touch around the basket to avoid larger defenders. Thompson also plays hard when he is on the floor, coming away with some steals and rebounds that resulted in extra possessions.

Xavier has had a great spring with MN Select and just picked up an offer from Minot State. He was letting it fly from deep when given any space, knocking down looks off the catch and off the dribble. He was great when getting to his pull-up jumper in the mid-range. Frelix is so tough to guard with his ball handling, change of pace, and tough shot making ability.

Trey always seems to make the correct plays when he is in the game and brings so much to the table as a 6'7” forward. He continues to improve on his shooting, as he is knocking down looks from the perimeter consistently. He is also a good passer for his position, being able to move the ball and find an open teammate. Theis has a deep bag of moves he can go to in the post, and crashed the boards hard on both ends of the floor.

Lucas was facilitating scoring chances for him and his team, and was fun to watch work with the ball in his hands. He was deadly in the pick & roll, being able to find a teammate cutting to the basket or score himself. He is a high percentage shooter from the outside, and is always a threat to let it fly from well beyond the three-point line. Gustafson also has great touch around the basket on floaters. He just earned an offer from Dakota Wesleyan.

Deron was making a major impact on both ends of the floor. The Division 1 cornerback used his defensive instincts to jump passing lanes and cause turnovers. Offensively, he is at his best when working with the ball in his hands, being able to create for himself and his team. Russell was hitting on some really tough looks in the mid-range and had some contested finishes at the basket. One of the best dual-sport athletes in Minnesota.

Thomas had the headline of the weekend, with a buzzer beating layup to beat MN Fury in triple overtime of the 16U championship. The 2028 wing was playing up, looking like the best player on the floor. He was automatic around the basket, being able to physically attack at full speed and convert on a tough layup. Jordan plays very hard when is on the floor, rebounding very well and defending the interior despite being undersized for a forward.

Sunday was the first time I had seen Lars this spring and I was very impressed with the performance he turned in. He is a great ball handler and found success taking his defender off the dribble. Osteraas was tough to stop from getting downhill where he could score himself or dish to a teammate for an open look. The 6'4” guard also has great length and used that to defend at a high level, picking up several blocks.

Joel turned in another solid weekend with MN Select, being one of the best on-ball defenders in his class. I saw him pick up full court at times, making opposing ball handlers' lives very difficult. He has great instincts, constantly poking balls free. He is a great finisher around the rim, as I was impressed with his euro step that he would go to often in transition.

Matthew was a key piece of [program_tooltip program_id='2821775' first='Buffalo' last='Legacy'] going on to win the 16U Championship this past weekend. The 6-foot guard is a very trustworthy ball handling option, being able to run the offense and create using the dribble. He is a sniper from the perimeter, hitting on shots off the dribble or off of a pass from a teammate. Jordan is very tough and played solid defense on great opposing guards.

Tyrese had a huge performance in the 16U semifinals, almost leading his team to an upset win. He got hot from beyond the arc and never cooled down. The 6'5” wing has a high release on his shot, making it very difficult for defenders to get a quality contest. Hutton also made plays in transition and defended at a high level.
