5/16/25: Once again, starting at point guard for Brad Beal Elite, [player_tooltip player_id='1560719' first='Trey' last='Pearson'] played well in victory. The St. Louis-based AAU outfit comfortably defeated UPLay out of Canada Friday early evening. Trey scored 6 points (3-7 FG) with 7 rebounds through his first 15 game minutes, though he did miss both three-point attempts. If he has a weakness it remains that outside shooting. Pearson is not weak from deep, but college coaches are certainly interested in his limitations in that regard as the college game is so 3-dependent. FINAL: 80-46 W.

5/16/25: Though the time was not divided equally, Blivens and Pearson essentially played point guard the entire game between the pair. It is nice to see two Nashville-area stars on the biggest platform. With 3:30 remaining in a blowout Cam checked in for Trey for the last time. Cameron made two sharp passes to corner shooters and their misses did not reflect on the quality or timing of his passes. Blivens did try to pass out to a wing from inside the paint unsuccessfully with 1:24 left. The deflected ball quickly turned into a UPlay layup in transition. In 11 minutes Friday, Blivens took one shot, missed and collected a sprinkling of statistics (1 assist, 1 rebound, 1 turnover). FINAL: 80-46 W.

5/16/25: Playing up with the 17u bunch, [player_tooltip player_id='1719620' first='Ryan' last='Wingard'] played sparingly in Boo Williams' blowout loss Friday. He scored twice in limited action though and caught a tricky lobbed outlet pass on the run. A split second later he adjusted his body and contorted to avoid a block attempt, finishing a layup. Wingard plucked away two steals. Ryan's subpar box outs did catch my attention. Twice he failed to apply the body to his man as the shot careened his way. The second time it resulted in a bucket against. [player_tooltip player_id='1719620' first='Ryan' last='Wingard'] was ranked as highly as #2 and could reasonably end up anywhere in the Top 5 of 2027 by high school career's end.
