The Nike reps for the respective states squared off on Friday night in Kansas City. With Oklahoma based LEGYNDS getting the better for Tennessee based Team Thad. At the first EYBL, he was unstoppable off the bounce but his perimeter shooting was shaky. But he was dialed in from the jump from distance in the win over Team Thad. Finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. The rebounding that Mitchell does at a national level is remarkable for a guard. It's a testament to his combo of strength and explosiveness that he out rebounds bigger players. And he's the type of up tempo guard who thrives by pushing it off those rebounds, leading to instant offense. Special athlete, who is rounding into form as one of Oklahoma's elite players.

Toughness and tenacity can swing games. And that's what Syke brought to the table in the second half of Friday's night win for LeGYnds'16u Team. He's an quick and strong athlete, who's ability to make hustle plays and pressure the ball on defense was crucial. The dual sport athlete plays bigger than his listed size and his winning impact often goes beyond the box score.

Bully ball guard, Jones had 20 points to lead the way for Team Thad. Already has a "grown man" type body. Snatches rebounds and forces steals with authority. Strong finisher at the rim, but also has some acrobatics to his game with balance, hang time and agility. Checks a lot of physical boxes and plays with an aggressive mentality.

Coleman is a physical presence, but impressed with some finesse and patience on drives. Sure, there were tough bully ball like drives to the rim. But there were a couple where he played at his own pace, stopped with two feet, pump faked, then stepped through for easy scores. Also hit in the mid-range, scoring an efficient 11 points on only 7 shot attempts.

After a rocky first weekend of EYB action, Gaines settled in and was a pivotal depth piece for LeGYnds 15U's team. Got into a rhythm early from three, and kept hitting throughout the game. Connecting on three triples. It was a launching point to a productive weekend for the western Oklahoma prospect. His ability to shoot, at his size will always make him an intriguing college prospect.

Coleman is an off dribble the shot maker. He poured in 23 points in an up and down contest. Leaned on his jumper from three and in the mid-range. Smooth dribble movements, into a silky shooting form. Keeps the ball on a string, and always was in attack mode in transition. Looking to score himself or find his teammates. Was one of the most exciting 2028 prospects in Kansas City this past weekend.

15 points on an efficient 7 shots highlighted the growing all around game for the Edmond sharpshooter. Looked more fluid and stronger on his drives to the rim. Threw it down with authority on one halfcourt drive. Then had another with a nice spin move into an "And 1". This spring and summer against national competition should set the stage for Copeland to become one of the top all around scorers in Oklahoma, as only a sophomore.
