The South Dakota 2030 class is in its early stages of development, but I have a trained eye for 13U and 14U prospects with my time covering the age groups for Prep Hoops Next. Some have shown to easily set themselves apart from their peers on the basketball court. And after watching the top 13U teams from the top AAU programs in the state, I will have to say that this will end up being a strong class that will challenge the 2028 class in a few years as the best class in the state.

Memphis has the game of basketball running through his veins. His Dad was a standout guard at Northern State University and then became a college basketball coach as well. Memphis hit a solid growth spurt and he looks like a longer true point guard for his age group at this point. You can tell he takes the game very seriously, but he's also calm and composed and will not pout if he makes an error. He owns the next play mentality, which can be hard to find for a young guard. He has the mental makeup to be great, and it doesn't hurt that he's probably the best 3-point shooter in the 2030 class as well. At Prep Hoops Brawl For The Ball, Sevareid wanted to take the big shot at the end of the game. Seems like a quiet kid, but on the court he is fearless and skilled.

Peyton does not play like a 2030 (13U) prospect. He stands out majorly compared to other 13U players at this point in time. He has good size for a guard and his combination of playstyle and skill is well-advanced to his 13U competition. It's a rare combination of aggression off the drive and the skill to do major damage as a scorer when he does so. He can show dominance in the half-court and is a transition mismatch for his opponents. He's out of Rapid City, South Dakota and he's running with an elite Nebraska AAU program called TNE (Team Nebraska Express). See for yourself below. The kid is a stud.

**The three [program_tooltip program_id='2250291' first='Hoop' last='City South Dakota'] prospects below I have yet see play, but per sources they are considered top 2030 prospects in the state. The evaluation on them is compiled by sources within the [program_tooltip program_id='2250291' first='Hoop' last='City South Dakota'] program. The 13U Hoop City SD team is a team of high priority for me to see live soon.**

Very strong and athletic guard that plays fast. Can play on and off the ball. Has a quick first step and knows how to get downhill and attack the basket. Likes to shoot the three and can get it off quick. One of the best parts of his game is his on-ball defense. Picks up full court and gets steals.

Hermanson is an all-around point guard that can score it at a high level. Great ball-handling skills that give him an advantage against quick defenders. He is a great 3-point shooter and has the ability to attack the rim very well. He will look to grow as a passer as he's an unselfish player. One of the most skilled players in this class.

A pure point guard that sets himself apart with pure speed, quickness, and shiftiness. You won't find many 13U guards in the country with his blend of speed and quickness. Has quick lateral feet and quick hands, making for a feisty defender that will also pick your pocket and then score on the other end in a flash.

Blackburn has an elite size and skill combination for a 13U prospect. He's tall and has a solidily built frame as well. He has the ability to board-and-go with the ball up the court after a rebound. I haven't seen him play extensively, but in short-glance I think Isaiah has a chance to become the best prospect in the class. He has great length and perimeter skills. His passing flashed to me as well. High upside prospect to say the least.

I've only seen Dolan once at this point in time, but I will see him this weekend at Prep Hoops Stomping Grounds. He has solid size and a solid build and frame. Looks to be a kid that will transition into a wing that can shoot the three and space the floor with his quick release, form, and accuracy. His 3-ball shot looks very advanced and easy for his age. It comes off his fingers and he can flick it from range without using extra help from other areas of his body. Not just a 3-point shooter, he can cut off of the ball and he's a smooth finisher off of the glass in the paint. Dolan is highly-composed and has a nice skillset to top things off.

Braxton is athletic and a power player all in one. Runs the floor at a high level and will finish with power at the rim, not worried about incoming contact. Tronbak's versatility for his size and his age is kind of crazy to me. I've seen a lot of 13U prospects and his ability to play inside with power and be a capable player out of the paint and in transition is on the higher end and would be rare in the state of Minnesota, where I've seen the most 13U action. He's a beast on the offensive glass and will go back up and can finish cleanly off the glass for a bank-swish.

Gus is a small point guard prospect, but he is also one of the most skilled in the class. A great handle and feel for the position. A soft shooting touch from all over and can shoot the three. He's a mismatch for opposing defenders with his shot-making and blow-by ability. Would love to see him hit a couple growth spurts to increase his recruitment.
