Young gun ready to step up? Aggressive mindset on both ends of the floor. This kid doesn’t play like hes gonna be a freshman, he has the skill set of an advanced sophmore at this point. Smooth shooting release (gets alot of friendly bounces because of this), understands defenses and is able to get his team organized quickly. Great crossover and change of pace, is able to beat defenders easily most the time and once he does if he doesn’t get to the basket for scores he has the ability to find open guys for good looks.

Peyton does not play like a 2030 (13U) prospect. He stands out majorly compared to other 13U players at this point in time. He has good size for a guard and his combination of playstyle and skill is well-advanced to his 13U competition. It’s a rare combination of aggression off the drive and the skill to do major damage as a scorer when he does so. He can show dominance in the half-court and is a transition mismatch for his opponents. He’s out of Rapid City, South Dakota and he’s running with an elite Nebraska AAU program called TNE (Team Nebraska Express). See for yourself below. The kid is a stud.

displayed outstanding defensive capabilities, covering his man the full length of the court and showing a readiness to pressure the ball even in halfcourt situations. With great feet and a low, wide stance, Crawford easily kept his man in front of him, showing an understanding of how to use his body and top foot to shut off angles and the ball handler’s desired spots, showing good anticipation for the dribble and an ability to gauge tendencies. He’s exceptional in help-side defense as well, quickly trapping or closing gaps when his teammates get beat. His high motor and court awareness assist him tremendously, allowing him to recover to his man and consistently jump long passes with his lateral quickness and ball-hawk abilities. As a 2030 prospect playing up, Crawford made a game-changing defensive impact.
