May 2nd-4th I attended the annual Bash in the Desert at the Phhacility and Cortez HS locations. It had exactly 60 teams total and I watched almost every team in 17U and 16U and some of the 15U teams to form a good opinion of the field.

Here is my 3rd team All-Individual Teams for 16U:

[player_tooltip player_id='2052368' first='Makhi' last='Anthony'] Bella Vista Prep (Team Supreme 16)

A pure point guard who can score. He has a nice floater game, with runners and pull-ups. He has shift to his handle and speed to get past his initial defenders. He made some drive and kicks and slip passes in stride and has a steady floor game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2839257' first='Caleb' last='Camping'] Fossil Ridge/CO ([program_tooltip program_id='2076181' first='State' last='38 Basketball'] 16)

A stronger post is a wider bodied active player. He will rebound and set strong picks with his football like body. He was actually one of the better rebounders in the 16U division I viewed and he can even step out and shoot the three.

Tristan Coleman SG 6'1 2028 Lincoln/CA (Stockton Bulls 16)

A lefty scoring guard with a little size for a freshman. His scoring was on display with tough layups thru contact, ball fakes and will go up with his dominant left hand, mid-range pull-ups and deep threes. He rebounds well in his area, he is quick in the passing lanes and will pass it up the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2107084' first='Adam' last='Medina'] Williams Field (Peak National 16)

A highly skilled power forward who can score from inside and out. He will hit the three off the catch and he can create his own offense inside the paint. He rebounds well in his area and scores it in transition with either hand with tough layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2674153' first='Rohan' last='Setia'] Paradise Valley (Peak 16 Regional)

A strong power forward with wider shoulders and girth. He is skilled with good hands and feet. He will score with hook shots, contact buckets down low using his strength, drop steps and jump stops into a runner or floater. He is a good passer from the high post and a strong two-handed rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2149166' first='Elisha' last='Smith'] Paradise Honors ([program_tooltip program_id='2144495' first='Team' last='Elevate'] 16)

A two-way combo guard is a top-notch on-ball defender. He has great anticipation to collect steals with a strong frame and good lateral quickness. He will smartly box his man out and will throw up the court passes in stride.

[player_tooltip player_id='2848790' first='Jaseer' last='Willis'] La Joya (AZ Legacy 16) (Pictured)

A bigger point guard with some feel and a tight handle. He can catch and shoot from the three or off the pull and can burst to the basket with longer strides. He will also drive and kick it to a shooter to make a play. Look for him to have a breakout season at La Joya.
