Yorktown was a fun team to watch last year, but they lost a vast majority of their production, so I was interested to see what players stepped up. Sam Roosa was fantastic for Yorktown in a win over Broadneck. Sam is a good catch-and-shoot guy who does a good job getting to the basket. Yorktown is pretty set at PG with [player_tooltip player_id='2820421' first='Jake' last='Coulam'], but I like what Sam can do as a two-guard. He has great size and is a solid athlete as well. Sam had 18 points in a close Yorktown win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353535' first='Izzy' last='Tchoubfong'] is an entertaining player to watch and is starting to put it together. Izzy does a great job attacking the basket and is a catch-and-shoot threat. He has high defensive potential as a wing, and he moves like a guard even though he has the size of a small forward. Izzy had a few tough finishes inside and led Good Counsel in scoring with 13 in a blowout over John Handley.

John Handley bounced back after getting blown out by Good Counsel earlier in the day. [player_tooltip player_id='2353665' first='Will' last='Braun-Duin'] was one of the lone bright spots in their loss, and he was dominant in their win over Northwest. Will is one of the more prolific scorers in Virginia, and he does it with elite shooting ability. He has exceptional range and hits shots with a high degree of difficulty. Will is stronger than you'd think, and he uses his size well. Will got to the line a lot, and he got a lot of his buckets off of a John Handley offense that did a good job moving the ball. He had 20 points against Good Counsel, then had 29 points and 10 rebounds to close the day.

It's hard not to like [player_tooltip player_id='2547300' first='Andrew' last='Clark'] as a prospect. He did a great job using his size in the paint on both ends. Andrew has a solid back-to-the-basket game against smaller players, and he does well running the floor. He moves well and can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Andrew can step out and make jump shots consistently, and he does everything within the flow of a game. I could see him transitioning to more of a 4 at the next level, but either way, he is highly effective. He finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds in John Carroll's win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782586' first='Aidan' last='Able'] was a player I watched a lot last summer, and he was a guy I felt was undoubtedly one of the better guards in the DMV. It's no surprise he's risen the rankings over the past year. Aidan isn't the greatest athlete, but he has an elite feel for the game, coupled with an abundance of skill. Aidan is a great finisher who invites contact. He is a terrific shooter who consistently makes the right play. Aidan had 27 points in John Carroll's win.
