Memorial Day Weekend is almost here, meaning the summer season is almost here. The 2028 class is looking to make its mark this weekend, especially in the front court. Here are the 2028 power forward prospects primed for big Memorial Day Weekends.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628239' first='Yu' last='Lyu'], 6'8 Hudson Catholic

Lyu is one of the more skilled forward prospects in the class and should put it on display this weekend. The 6'8 forward has a good face-up game as he can put the ball on the floor and finishes nicely around the basket. Lyu has a high release on his free throws and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is a solid rebounder and uses his size to influence shots around the basket. Lyu is a talented forward prospect who should put his skills on display this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2427984' first='James' last='Maida'], 6'3 Hopatcong

Maida was one of the most productive 2028 prospects in Group 1 and should translate that into a strong Memorial Day Weekend. The 6'3 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Maida can also get to the rim off the bounce and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He can pass out of the post and is an underrated rebounder. Maida's ability to score inside and out is something that will help his stock over the course of the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763607' first='Quinn' last='Weber'], 6'4 Rutherford

Weber has the potential to play either forward spot, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class. The 6'4 forward has a good first step, which he uses to get into the lane and finishes well around the basket. Weber uses his size to see over his defender and can draw contact in the paint. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Weber's versatility is something that should help him have a big Memorial Day Weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763622' first='Bilal' last='Robinson'], 6'4 Overbrook

Robinson had flashes during his debut varsity campaign and should have some flashes this weekend as well. The 6'4 forward has a nice release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Robinson can also get into the paint off the dribble and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a solid rebounder. Robinson is a lanky forward prospect who should impact the game at both ends over the course of the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788586' first='Andrew' last='Bena'], 6'3 South Plainfield

Bena can also play on the perimeter and will be looking to showcase that this weekend. The 6'3 forward has a nice touch around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact. Bena moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He is an underrated defender and fights for rebounds at both ends of the floor. Bena closed out the season with 10 points in his final three games and should bounce back from that with his ability to shoot from behind the arc and finish around the rim.
