Maida once again, much like he routinely does, impressed with the efficiency of his three point shooting, displaying repeatable mechanics, a soft touch, and the confidence to keep firing without being deterred by misses. Much of his impact came away from the ball, as Maida consistently occupied valuable space on the perimeter, knocking down in rhythm spot ups, and punished defenders who were late getting out to him.

A talented outside shooting wing with legitimate positional size and lengthy arms, James Maida James Maida 6'5" | PF/SG Morris Catholic | 2028 State NJ impressed in with the efficiency he shot the three ball with. Highlighted by repeatable mechanics coupled with a super soft outside shooting touch and confidence to rarely let misses rattle him, Maida showcased so much of what his impact looks like, particularly off the ball, with his floor spacing— stepping into in rhythm spot up looks out on the perimeter and making defenses pay for late contests and lazy closeouts.

Maida flashed during the day as he showed his ability to play on the wing and in the post. The 6’4 forward showed off a good release on his jumper and was knocking down shots off both the catch and bounce. Maida also used his handle to get into the paint off the bounce and finished nicely around the rim. He showed the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor and was able to create space for himself off the ball. Maida’s ability to stretch the floor is something that will help rise his stock throughout the 2025-26 season.
