demonstrated an intriguing blend of size and fluidity on the wing, standing out for his ability to score efficiently in a variety of ways while also providing legitimate impact as a versatile defender. As the season wained, Johnson proved to be a versatile offensive threat without necessarily breaking the flow of Morris Catholic’s offense— attacking closeouts with purpose and strength to get to the basket, crafty and athletic finishing at the rim in transition, a capable threat from the outside as a spot up shooter, effective out the dunker spot catching dump offs from penetrating guards. Possessing compelling length and fluid movement skills, Johnson also shined on the defensive end of the floor— leveraging his lengthy arms to guard multiple positions, be active in the passing lanes to disrupt passes, and crash the glass with effort and energy to come down with rebounds.

Johnson shined during The Expo as he made plays at both ends throughout the day. The 6’5 wing showed off his smooth jumper as he wasted little motion in his release and rose up with confidence on his shot. Johnson attacked the basket with a purpose as he threw down a couple of dunks and was able to find his open teammates in the half. He blocked several shots around the rim and showed the ability to push the tempo in transition. Johnson has the potential to have a breakout season with his ability to score the ball inside and out.
