Minnesota Comets Lewis Goes 5-0 and Wins Title

The combination of [player_tooltip player_id='2118495' first='Talan' last='Witt'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560831' first='Levi' last='Harris'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1560827' first='Kale' last='Misegades'] lead this Comets team every time they step on the floor. Witt and Harris seamlessly take turns being either a primary ball handler or off the ball. Both are shooting really well from the perimeter and are pushing ball handlers on defense with pressure defense.

While Harris is more of a gunner scorer type, Witt can run as a traditional point guard, sets the Comets table well, and makes passes for scoring opportunities consistently.

Misegades, a six-foot-three-inch guard from Henning, is so under control every time he has the ball. From finishing in the paint off two-feet or stopping and pivoting to find open teammates with crisp passing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2100912' first='Stephen' last='McGee'] - MN Comets Elite Lewis - The Greenway big man showed his erasing baskets ability versus MN Select Mantey a couple times at the rim denying would be scores. The six-foot-nine-inch McGee is an excellent leaper and he shows good ability as a rim running big man. McGee is an improving shooter from beyond the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560798' first='Lucas' last='Gustafson'] - MN Fury Antl - The Mankato East combo guard blew open a game versus [program_tooltip program_id='2075704' first='MN' last='Rise'] early in the first half with outside shooting hitting three 3-pointers in quick succession. In the 2nd half of the same game, Gustafson showed his ability to facilitate hitting teammates for multiple scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='1641211' first='Jaden' last='Haley'] - SD Elite Hoop City - The Sioux Falls Lincoln guard shot the ball very well in a game versus MN Select Ohnstad, especially spotted up along the perimeter. Haley attacked well on the defense in screen and roll action, and had some wiggle off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560839' first='Xavier' last='Frelix'] - MN Select Ohnstad - The Park Center point guard displayed much shot creation ability, in transition mostly but also in the half-court. Frelix dribble pull-up 3-pointer looked very smooth. Frelix has good size as a guard giving himself a bit advantage there.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815210' first='Parker' last='Maloney'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2075704' first='MN' last='Rise'] - Maloney has good footwork to good with his good size. Standing at six-foot-seven-inches the front-court player from St. Peter operated very well out of the pinch post as a passer.

Tommy Shunmugavelu - MN Fury Antl - The six-foot-five-inch Wayzata big man made his way into the [program_tooltip program_id='2075965' first='Trojans' last=''] starting line-up mid-way through last season. Shunmugavelu has been a key force in the middle for MN Fury Antl for years and he continues to use his speed and quickness with the combination of size to punish inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1437598' first='Dane' last='Danielson'] - MN Select Ohnstad - The six-foot-six-inch Lakeville North showed a glimpse into his potential as a court running forward with his athleticism when he got out and threw down on one fast break. Danielson hit a spotted-up 3-pointer in the 2nd half in the same game as well. Danielson potential as a wing in his future.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121351' first='Tanner' last='Rose'] - MN Select Ohnstad - Watching Rose versus SD Elite all I could think about was if Rose got to play this season at St. Lous Park with the Curtis twins. On rebounds Rose constantly looked up to hit running teammates, and his passes were on target. In half-court, Rose was very tactical and precise on his passes he was slinging.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121339' first='Anthony' last='Ortiz'] - MN Select Mantey - The six-foot-one-inch Minnetonka guard Ortiz put in 26 points that included six made 3-pointers versus [program_tooltip program_id='2075709' first='MN' last='Swish'].
