Jackson was a problem on defense in Sunday's games. Anytime someone tried to drive to the basket, he was right there challenging every shot. He kept in front of his opponents making sure nothing came easy. He was also forcing players into awkward angles, rushed layups, and flat-out misses. Jackson also was owning the glass, grabbing board after board and boxing out with textbook footwork. He seemed to know exactly where to be every time the ball came off the rim. Once the board was secure he found the outlet pass right away and got the ball up the floor fast, helping his team get into transition before the defense could catch up

Hakeem made a huge impact in both games Sunday and was a total game-changer on defense. Every time he checked in, you could instantly feel the shift where suddenly the other team couldn't get anything going offensively. His on-ball defense was insane. He was up in guys' faces, applying pressure, and making them super uncomfortable. Players were panicking, throwing wild passes and turning over the ball. On top of all that, Hakeem was rotating like a pro. Whenever a shot went up, he was already in motion, and with those long arms, he was grabbing boards over everyone. His timing, hustle, and absolute awareness was locked in all day

Williams was an absolute problem on defense Sunday locking everything up. He was one of the biggest reasons his team cruised to the win. From the jump, he brought intensity and focus on the defensive end, and it set the tone for the whole squad. He racked up a bunch of deflections and had at least 3 steals. Every steal led to a fast break and an easy scoring opportunity on the other end. Williams also was shutting down the lane and cutting off drives, forcing guys to either throw up awkward shots or kick it back out. It was relentless and he made it uncomfortable for anyone who tried to test him

Jijna was a threat with his wingspan, it felt like he had an extra set of arms out there or something. He was everywhere closing down passing lanes, reaching around ball handlers, and just making life a nightmare for whoever had the ball. Anytime someone tried to swing a pass near him, you could almost guarantee it was getting tipped or deflected. He completely messed with the other team's flow, and you see they were second-guessing every decision with him lurking. Jijna really stood out with his help defense that led to bad possessions and turnovers. He was so good at coming off his man to help but also making sure he wasn't going to give up the easy bucket on the back pass. It was really impressive to see him play with that intensity and motor all game

Chavez really caught my eye with the way he played on defense where he was locked in from the jump. His energy was nonstop, and you see he took pride in clamping down his guy. In man coverage, he was a problem and stuck to his opponent like glue and didn't give an inch. He forced pass after pass and opponents couldn't get a clean look so they kept swinging the ball around looking for a shot. Chavez had excellent awareness on pick plays reading them fast and switching seamlessly to be right back in the opponents face. Chavez brought that hustle and discipline every possession, and it made a real impact. He wasn't just playing hard—he was playing smart too, and that combo made him a major defensive asset all game
