Charles caught me off guard at first, when at 6'1, he beat his man with a backdoor cut and exploded off two feet for a dunk along the baseline. He just has that level of athleticism to go up and make plays above the rim, even in half-court settings. All game long he was either getting out in transition, attacking with straight line drives, or cutting hard off the ball to create good looks at the rim. Once there, he showcased the body control and explosiveness to finish just about everything.

It was a bit of a breakout game for Maverick on Friday night, showing what he could do in the paint for [program_tooltip program_id='2075808' first='Powerhouse' last='MN']. He put together a big first half, scoring with his back to the basket or out of pick & roll situations. He did a nice job of keeping the ball high and tight so help defenders couldn't come in and poke it free, and was going straight at his man on the block for some physical post scores. Yes he showed flashes of footwork to create angles, but a lot of it was Maverick playing with an edge that his defender couldn't match, and just using his strength and touch to finish off the glass.

With Maverick having a big game in the paint, Tyrel was producing out on the perimeter for [program_tooltip program_id='2075808' first='Powerhouse' last='MN']. The 6'1 guard out of St. Paul Johnson was a pest defensively, making his presence felt on the ball, while also showing the instincts to jump passes off the ball to pick up steals. The majority of his scoring came from beyond the arc, but he also showed the ability to go right at bigger players around the rim, and use his athleticism and body control to finish over them. Pride finished with 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a big opening night win.

[program_tooltip program_id='2245199' first='Pride' last='Roc'] was all over the place creating steals defensively, and turning a lot of those steals into transition buckets was [player_tooltip player_id='2431222' first='Noah' last='Tyler']. He's a bit longer than his listed height suggests, and with that had success getting to the rim and extending to finish at a high percentage. Defensively he was moving his feet with smaller guards, but also had no problem when matched up with bigger wings. Really liked the energy he brought to both ends of the floor on Friday night.

Grant was one of the bright spots for Mike Glennon Elite on Friday night. The 6'2 wing is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc, and was knocking down his shots at a high percentage when given too much space. One thing that immediately stands out is Grant's frame, as he's done a nice job of putting on muscle, and already has a frame that looks ready for the college level. He was moving his feet with smaller guards, while also having the strength needed to defend against bigger wings. Even when his team started to fall behind in the second half, he kept playing hard on both ends of the floor.

Phoenix Fisher produced at a high level on Friday night, and also showcased some intriguing potential long-term. You don't see a lot of 6'3 players who move with the fluidity on the ball that Phoenix does, and he was creating his own shots with ease against smaller/quicker guards. He can get into a mid-range pull-up, get all the way to the rack, or knock down threes off the catch. When his team needed a bucket, the ball was in Phoenix's hands, and he wasn't afraid to go and make a play. He helped lead his team to a win over a scrappy [program_tooltip program_id='2075808' first='Powerhouse' last='MN'] team in the opening game of the night.

The Milwaukee guard showcased his quickness and crafty finishing ability on night one for [program_tooltip program_id='2245199' first='Pride' last='Roc']. Defensively he was able to pressure the ball hard, as [program_tooltip program_id='2245199' first='Pride' last='Roc'] was forcing turnover after turnover with their intensity on defense. In the half-court he showcased a quick first step to beat his man off the dribble, and made quick decisions on whether to pass or finish once he got into the paint. Despite being one of the smaller players on the floor, he showcased some acrobatic finishing ability to avoid shot blockers.
