Below are five prospects of note at the Combo Guard position in New England's Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571899' first='Max' last='Maturah']

A combo guard out of the Brooks School, Maturah has the chance to be one of the top guards in this class down the road. A shifty ball-handler, he does a great job of using his dribble to get into the teeth of the defense. He makes good reads out of ball screens as a facilitator or scorer, and has the ability to score at multiple levels. A good athlete with a frame that should fill out, he plays with a good feel for the game and the confidence needed to take over down the stretch. He's a good defender that uses his length to his advantage in passing lanes and shows the ability to keep opponents out of the paint with his lateral mobility.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832771' first='Amari' last='Lewis']

A combo guard out of Phillips Exeter Academy, Lewis plays with good instincts on the defensive end of the floor and a high motor that allows him to be a two-way threat. A talented football player, he brings an edge and toughness to the hardwood, particularly on the defensive side. He does a good job of making life difficult for opposing ball-handlers, using his quickness to generate steals and his strength to guard up against opposing wings and forwards. He does a great job of turning defense into offense in transition and is really good in space when he attacks the rim. He has a nice finishing package, does a good job of getting a piece of the paint off the bounce, and looks to be a capable perimeter shooter when he gets his feet set.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832774' first='Cameron' last='Clemons']

A combo guard out of St. Luke's, Clemons makes an impact on both ends of the floor with his basketball IQ and effort. He's a talented defender that plays bigger than his size on that end of the floor, showing an impressive ability to rebound in traffic and a willingness to box out bigger opponents. Offensively, he does a nice job of spreading the floor with his shot making ability. He runs the floor hard in transition, keeps his space when spotting up on the wing, and shows a target to his teammates off of their drives. He has a quick release on his jumper and deep range, while showing that he can make them in bunches when he gets going.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832788' first='JT' last='Araujo']

A combo guard out of Xaverian Brothers, Araujo is a name to know going forward in the MIAA. An attacking guard, he does a nice job of using his athleticism to attack the rim off the bounce, where he shows the ability to finish plays as a scorer with length or to find teammates for easy baskets. He does a good job of taking care of the basketball, liming his turnovers and making good decisions with the ball in his hands. He's a crafty finisher in the paint that can get to his spots off the bounce and finishes with a variety of moves around the rim. Defensively, he can really guard that basketball and has an ability to generate plenty of steals and deflections with his quickness.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571911' first='Tyrell' last='Robertson']

A combo guard out of Burlington, Robertson played a key role in helping his team win a state championship this winter. A capable shooter in the mid-range and from behind the arc, he does a nice job of creating space to get into his shooting motion with the ball in his hands. He has the ability to operate an offense as a primary ball-handler, but can also slide off the ball and knock down shots in bunches in catch and shoot situations. He's a solid athlete that can finish plays in transition, does a nice job of making plays on the ball as a primary defender, and makes plays that lead to winning but don't show up in the box score.
