Made Hoops: Southwest Warmup Day 1 standouts

I had the chance to check out a number of talented prospects who stood out with their energy, skill, and production. From under-the-radar names to established contributors, several players made strong impressions with their performances.   Here are the player standouts:    A consistent performer throughout the day, he stood out with his control and ability to change speeds when attacking the rim. He showcased a strong ability to finish through contact, using his body well and displaying soft touch around the basket. His perimeter shooting was another key highlight, as he knocked down threes with confidence and rhythm throughout the event. With his all-around offensive skill set and steady production, he remains one of my top unsigned seniors still on the board.     A dynamic 3-level scorer with bounce, he consistently put pressure on defenses with his versatile offensive arsenal. He connected from deep with confidence, pulled up in the mid-range with smooth elevation, and finished above the rim with explosive athleticism. Whether creating off the dribble or attacking in transition, he brought energy and scoring punch every time he touched the ball.     He showcased good lift and consistency on his jumper, knocking down shots with confidence throughout the day. He put pressure on the defense by attacking downhill and keeping defenders on their heels. With a tight handle and confident approach, he was effective in breaking down defenders off the dribble and creating scoring opportunities. He also rebounded well from the guard spot —moving freely and making plays all over the floor. His all-around activity and confidence stood out.     He attacked the rim with confidence, showing a strong handle and the ability to finish through contact. His aggression off the bounce stood out, consistently putting pressure on the defense and converting tough finishes around the basket. He also knocked down the three ball with confidence.      One of the more composed guards on the floor, he never let the pace of the game dictate his decisions. He played under control, created shots within the flow of the offense, and operated with a smooth rhythm. He knocked down threes with a quick, confident release and showed the ability to score at all three levels. What really stood out was his vision—he constantly looked to push the ball ahead and found teammates in stride. A smart, well-rounded guard with a natural feel for the game.     He continues to play the game the right way—staying active, unselfish, and making impact plays without needing the ball in his hands. Still the best rebounder I've seen in this class, he controlled the glass on both ends and constantly gave his team second-chance opportunities. He ran the floor hard in transition and capitalized with several timely put-backs.     He scored it from all over the floor—knocking down threes, mid-range pull-ups, and catch-and-shoot opportunities. His ability to handle the ball allowed him to create space and consistently find clean looks. He played with confidence and didn't hesitate to take shots when the opportunity was there.
