Grand Park Premier Friday Night Standouts

Playing with a non-stop motor and consistent competitiveness, Darrell still has a switch that he flips at times that takes him to another level. That happened midway through the first half of [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] Pro16 17u's game on Friday night as he simply took over the game. The athletic 6'1" guard plays though contact so well both off the dribble and as a finisher. Whether he is getting downhill or elevating to finish there is an explosive pop to everything that he does with the ball in his hands. The 6'3" guard from Guerin Catholic is ranked as a Top 20 prospect in the state of Indiana and showed why on Friday night. The 6'4" guard knocked down a couple of smooth three-point shots and had a beautiful euro step finish in transition as he scored 10 points in what turned into a blowout victory. However, Lopez handled their size and athleticism very well. The 5'10" left-handed point guard was able to take care of the ball, attack the paint, and finish against size a number of times. Hudson is an excellent shooter from beyond the arc, but also has enough ball handling ability to serve as a secondary creator within the offense. He has a projectable athletic frame with a little bit of length. Hudson was the standout in a tough loss for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] Pro16 15u. The strong, athletic, 6'1" guard finished with 9 points, but also set the table for his teammates in a dominant victory.
