Chi-Town Tip Off: Devin Cleveland Talks Recruiting and More

Over the weekend in Chicago there were a lot of top prospects in the house for Chi-Town Tip Off. None was higher ranked than the best prospect regardless of class in Illinois Devin Cleveland Devin Cleveland 6'2" | PG La Lumiere | 2027 State IN who was playing with the Mac Irvin Fire . He is a silky smooth three level scorer in the 2027 class that can score with ease from all three levels.

We caught up with him to chat about his high school season at Kenwood where they only lost two games all year long and where he saw the biggest growth in his game.

“I felt like my ability to play make. I averaged about 5 assists per game. I got my teammates involved. When I have guys like Aleks (Alston), Amari (Edwards), and TJ (Seals) it makes my job easier. When I see them making shots I know it is my time to get to the paint and shoot.”

He is focusing on the other end of the floor this spring.

“I want to elevate my game. I am trying to play better defense. I want to get my game started with defense.”

What are the latest schools to get involved in his recruitment.

“I have been talking to Arkansas and Oklahoma.”

He rattled off the schools that have offered and are showing interest.

“I have offers from Michigan, Illinois, Arizona State, Illinois State, and a few more. I have interest from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisville, and more.”

He does not have any visit planned right now.
