Bay City Championship Saturday Standouts

Bay City Warriors a Northern California Grassroots Organization held its 16th Annual Spring Tournament at SF City College and surrounding areas on Saturday in San Francisco. PH NorCal spent the day evaluating NorCal talent. Here are more standouts from Saturday.    Swift is off to a good Spring. He's playing, aggressive, loose, and with confidence. He has lengthy arms and good movement. He can cover ground laterally staying with his man, his lengthy arms take up passing lanes, and help get rebounds. He's a good court runner getting out front looking to convert in transition. He has a smooth mid-range jump shot he can hit in different areas on the court.     Adimora continues to sharpen his game. He's a solid body, plays under control with balance getting his work done. He's a scoring guard. At 6'5 he can effectively use his body and strength to score around the basket, planting going up strong, he hit the paint jumper, gets rebounds. He has strong drives using a shoulder bump to get a basket. He'll get transition dunks. He's a willing passer, plays within the flow.     Hightower showed a versatile type of game. He does a solid job of ball handling, passing, and moving around the court. He had a couple of nice crossover dribbles, and spin moves attacking the rim, playing through contact. He doesn't mind mixing it up going for rebounds on both ends. He'll come out with dribble looking to push the pace, or hustle fill lanes in transition. He's a quality defender.     He's been a productive player the last few times we've seen him. No flash just hard aggressive play on both ends. He can knock down 3 pointers if you leave him open. He can be productive cutting across the lane, working in and around the post area. He works hard to get rebounds, and defend his position. He hustles up and down the court.     He's a steady guard, plays a balanced game at a good pace. He has good fundamentals. He's a handler, good passer, he moves the ball. He can use his dribble to get to the paint for jumpers. He can knock down deep 3's coming down in transition, and from different spots around the perimeter. He has good energy, lateral movement and foot speed defending full court. He's a good trapper, and help defender.     Kellogg is an experienced guard who has a good understanding of the game. He can effect the game on both sides of the court. He's a good ball handler and passer who can run point. He can create his own shot, he'll attack the paint, hit the mid-range and drop big 3's when the game is on the line. He's a top notch defender when he's locked in. He's got some clutch in him.     Krueger looks set for a breakout Spring. He's a hard playing aggressive guard who uses his body to bump his way closer to the basket for points. He looks for his shot around the perimeter. He hit 3's from the top and corners. Standing around 6'1 he showed good hops going after rebounding, he surprised a few with a throw down dunk in transition.     He's finding ways to be a contributor. He's doing a good job of running up court, attacking the rim in transition. He's moving and cutting finding open spots to put up jump shots. He has a mid-range jumper, he'll shoot 3's. He has good length to help rebound, his long arms and lateral movement helps on the defensive side.     Wiggins is set for a breakout Spring. He's got strength, and plenty of springs in his legs to haul in rebounds, get tip slams, and challenge shots at the rim. He's using a couple dribbles to work his way around the post for paint points. He's a good offensive rebounder with a power going up. He can hit the free throw jumper, and step out for a 3ptr at the top.     First we know Hargrave can put points on the board in different ways. He averaged 18pts a game with his high school team. What we saw in club basketball was a steady guard who doesn't mind being a facilitator delivering quality passes to players who can put the ball in the basket. He showed quality handles, and patience up top. He had good shot selection knocking down mid-range, and 3ptrs. He could be a riser with more observation.
