Hightower continues to upgrade his overall skill set. He plays at a good pace, doesn’t try to do too much. At 6’3 he’s showing improvement as a guard with improved handles, strong drives using the body to absorb, and handle contact to finish from different points of attack, including transition. He has the tools to be a quality defender.

Hightower showed a versatile type of game. He does a solid job of ball handling, passing, and moving around the court. He had a couple of nice crossover dribbles, and spin moves attacking the rim, playing through contact. He doesn’t mind mixing it up going for rebounds on both ends. He’ll come out with dribble looking to push the pace, or hustle fill lanes in transition. He’s a quality defender.

He showed an expanding skill set. He hit the mid-range jumper, made a couple of 3’s. He found his way into the paint on the dribble. He’s a court runner who finishes in transition, an excellent defender with foot speed and lateral movement out on the perimeter, and extended court.

He was getting work done under the radar, not anymore. He has good foot speed and movements on the court. He does a little bit of everything, excellent court runner, finishes in transition. He has decent handles to attack, and finish in the paint from the sides, he’ll hit the short pull up jumper. He’s a good defender, and will get his share of rebounds. We’ll see more. (66 to 46)

A versatile big guard with an improving skill set to play guard or wing. He’s an excellent defender using his lengthy arms and lateral movements to defend multiple positions. He fills lanes, has good ball handling and passing in transition. He’s showing he can use his dribble along the perimeter to get mid-range, and into the paint for jumpers, and layups..
