The engine for this year's 17U group, [player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'], is a crafty lead guard that has a natural knack for scoring the basketball. Carter has legit ball skills and can score it all three levels— often times showcasing high level finishes around the basket, displaying nice touch on his jumper and finding his in between game, and shooting it with versatility from three point range. Carter possesses a unique combination of good positional size and lethal poise with the ball in his hands— rarely ever getting too sped up handling the basketball. Expected to become a national name this spring and summer, Carter has a glaring upside and should continue to see his stock really see a boost playing on this year's MADE Hoops circuit.

Expected to star alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'] in the backcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='2788641' first='Gavin' last='Roach'] is a combo guard that is raw as just a freshman but has contributed heavily as a source of offense playing up on 17U. Roach is assertive in getting downhill, aggressively attacking the basket with a full head of steam. Roach also brings secondary ball handling to this Roadrunner 17U backcourt, looking to alleviate some of the pressure off [player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'] bringing the ball up. Roach is an improving jump shooter and will continue to take strides in his perimeter skillset as we head into May and beyond this spring and summer.

A lethal threat from the perimeter, [player_tooltip player_id='2683650' first='Joseph' last='Chien'] has brought an elite level of three point shooting and floor spacing to this 17U NJ Roadrunners offense. Another young gun playing up, Chien is a fluid shooter with a smooth and compact shooting stroke. Chien is a shooter that defenses must always know where he's at on the court and with a backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2788641' first='Gavin' last='Roach'], two guards that make a living in the paint, Chien should continue to feast from open looks that both these guards generate attracting help defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763399' first='Brett' last='Carter'] brings a unique combination of size, perimeter shooting ability, and rim protection to this 17U group's frontcourt. Hovering at around 6'8", Carter adds a dynamic element to the Roadrunners' offense with his ability to step out to three point line and shoot it off the catch— often times dragging opposing bigs out from the paint. Defensively, Carter has used his length to block and alter shot attempts at the rim while also battling on the boards and coming down with rebounds. Ahead of a prep year, look for Carter to continue to get stronger while refining his skillset throughout the rest of this spring and summer.

Starring on the NJ Roadrunners 16U group, [player_tooltip player_id='2763539' first='Omar' last='Mangassouba'] is an aggressive slasher that relentlessly attacks the basket that has also taken strides as a jump shooter. More confident shooting the basketball and possessing more fluid mechanics from a year ago, Mangassouba has taken tremendous strides as a jump shooter. Combine that with his already natural knack to attack the basket, Mangassouba has showcased a more diverse offensive skillset over the course of his first couple tournaments this spring. Look for the sophomore guard to continue to build on the improvements he's made in his game and have a strong spring and summer on the MADE Hoops circuit.

A strong and physical imposing forward, Boresa Jawula has made his presence known on the interior over the course of his first couple tournaments this spring. Jawula has been seen finishing around the basket, bruising defenders out of the low post, showcasing a solid touch around the rim. In a short time, Jawula has improved upon his footwork and his technique in the low and mid post. As we go into May, look for Jawula to become fluid in his movements and assert his dominance around the basket.

An absolute sniper from the perimeter, Ryan Lamera has brought high level shot making from three point range to this NJ Roadrunner 16U group. A confident and versatile shooter, look for Lamera to continue to hunt his shot and capitalize off open looks not only standing in the corner but also coming off screens.
