April is about to come to a close meaning the spring AAU season is in full swing. The independent circuit has a ton of talent, especially in the backcourt. Here are the 2026 independent circuit shooting guards to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919211' first='Dorsett' last='Mulcahy'], 6'5 Gill St. Bernard's

Mulcahy will suit up for the NJ Panthers this spring and summer and should put his full game on display. The 6'5 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and has a nice touch in the mid-range. Mulcahy finishes well around the basket and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and finds his open teammates on the floor. Mulcahy's versatility is something that will help his stock over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1943569' first='Donnie' last='Gregory'], 6'3 Morris Catholic

Gregory is suiting up for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078573' first='NJ' last='Beasts'] this AAU season and should make plays on both sides of the ball. The 6'3 guard has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Gregory is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim off the bounce and can make shots through contact. He slides his feet on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Gregory's ability to stretch the floor and defend on the perimeter will make him a prospect to track over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1764304' first='Gabe' last='Hornberger'], 6'5 Peddie

Hornberger will be playing with the [program_tooltip program_id='2078566' first='East' last='Coast Cyclones'] and will be a prospect to track with his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. The 6'5 guard uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and rises up over smaller defenders. Hornberger wastes little motion in his release and rarely forces shots in the halfcourt. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and moves well without the ball in his hands. Hornberger is a skilled guard prospect whose ability to score inside and out makes him a prospect to track this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2342648' first='Will' last='Foley'], 5'11 Notre Dame

Foley might be an undersized shooting guard, but that won't stop him from making plays this spring. The 5'11 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Foley moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself up for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He uses his handle to get into the paint and can also score in the mid-range. Foley is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this spring for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078569' first='Jersey' last='Force']

[player_tooltip player_id='2342605' first='Trevor' last='Whitaker'], 6'4 Union Catholic

Whitaker will be suiting up for the NJ Panthers Select team and should make his presence felt on both sides of the ball. The 6'4 guard has a good first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes well around the basket. Whitaker is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and makes opponents pay for giving him space from behind the arc. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated rebounder. Whitaker is a two-way guard prospect who has the ability to rise his stock in a big way over the next couple of weeks.
