Spurs City Shootout (TX): 16u Grand Rising Team

As both a former player and grassroots coach I know personally how challenging it is to wake up early and have your best performance for a morning game. These players showed no signs of fatigue or drop off. Rush answered that loud and clear in his 9 AM game! Immediately after the tip off, Rush blocked a shot and then preceded to drill back to back 3's! Giving his Just Play squad a quick 6-0 lead. Rush cleared every defensive board in his area and pushed the tempo with several out let passes to teammates. Easily one of the most consistent and productive players at the Spurs City Shootout, Ashton left his mark in San Antonio. From there he attacked opposing closeouts and methodically finished in the paint including a sweet left handed floater from the baseline. Far from just a shooter, Teagan competes defensively and is a solid team defender.
