Covin was a player who stood out, especially on Day 1 with how he was able to control the offense and get the attention of the defense. I watched his game against Morgan Dawgs, and despite the loss, he was getting to his spots. He was rising for shots, hitting 3-pointers, and finishing strong as well. Jaxon gave his team life as a confident scorer who can break guys down and score i,t and can play both on and off-ball as well. He was scoring with ease, spacing the floor, and competing on both ends. He got out in the open court and attacked and put plenty of pressure on defenses throughout the weekend. Solid outing by Jaxon. 

Covin operates as a secondary handler who can help initiate offense when needed. He shows comfort making simple reads and keeping the ball moving. Offensively, he contributes by staying within structure and taking available opportunities. Defensively, he competes and maintains positioning. His role fits as a complementary guard.

Jaxon was a great slasher and defender for Magic Basketball Club in their semifinals game on Sunday. Covin also knows how to hit shots with a calm and poised demeanor and his assist to turnover ratio really helped his team stay in the game. Covin is a smart decision maker, and I was impressed by his hustle and motor as he wasn’t hesitant to put his body on the line for loose balls and secure extra chance opportunities and possessions.

Jaxon is an instrumental piece for his talented and well coached Magic Basketball Club . All weekend Jaxon made winning plays for his squad, and that held true for his early morning match-up. Jaxon finished with a solid 11 point outting helping his team cruise to 77-38 win.
