<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Most Impressive Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id='1225444' first='Jackson' last='Keith'] | 6'5 Wing/Guard | Southern Durham</h3>

<p>Keith was impressive from start to finish this season in leading Southern Durham to the NCHSAA 3A State Championship game. He's got a bright future ahead of him after showcasing his ability to shoot the ball efficiently and rebound in bunches. He posted double-doubles in two of his final three games of the NCHSAA State Playoffs in lifting their frontcourt and showing off his versatility. The rebounds added to his contributions as well. He put up 35 points, 14 rebounds and four assists in a 77-42 victory over JH Rose and 30 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in their upset victory over top-seed Swansboro, 78-65.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Biggest Riser: [player_tooltip player_id='2374722' first='Malachi' last='McCutcheon'] | 6'6 Forward/Wing | Corvian Community</h3>

<p>McCutcheon saved his best for last in leading the Corvian Community frontcourt to their first state title in school history. He took home the West Region Most Valuable Player Award after put up 15 points, six rebounds and a block in their 58-55 overtime victory over Southern Wake Academy in the NCHSAA 1A State Final. He showed off his ability to utilize his size in a variety of ways in the painted area and had a number of big finishes when his squad needed him to boost their profile. He's got a bright future ahead of him at Catawba College in Salisbury.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Best Shot-Blocker: [player_tooltip player_id='2023923' first='Grant' last='Overman'] | 6'8 Forward/Center | Willow Spring</h3>

<p>Overman was a top paint presence once again for Willow Spring to close out his high school career. He's got a bright future ahead of him at William Peace University as he continues his career at the next level as quite the shot-blocker. He averaged 5.1 blocks per contest in his senior season, ranking third in the state of North Carolina on MaxPreps. He racked up 12 double-doubles as a senior while producing 11.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game as well in 2024-25. He's got solid instincts around the rim as a finisher offensively and rim-protector defensively. He's a sizeable prospect to keep eyes on at the next level.</p>

<p>McSweeney was quite the rebounding presence in the paint for Cardinal Gibbons in setting a new career-high in rebounds per game in 2024-25. He finished with a career-high 12.4 rebounds per game along with 17.5 points and 2.7 assists per contest showcasing his ability to find the ball on the rebounding front. He racked up 21 double-doubles across 28 games for the Crusaders this season, ranking 73rd nationally on MaxPreps. He collected 20+ rebounds twice this season including a season-high 23 in a victory over White Oak back on Dec. 14. He snagged 21 in the overtime victory over Broughton in the first round of the NCHSAA State Playoffs.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Top Shooter: [player_tooltip player_id='1220133' first='Mason' last='Dobie'] | 6'2 Shooting Guard | First Flight</h3>

<p>Dobie closes out his career as one of the top shooters in First Flight history. He knocked down 89 3-pointers in 2024-25, ranking first in the NCHSAA 3A East and 17th in the state of North Carolina, according to MaxPreps. The 6-foot-2 sharpshooter averaged 28.0 points per game and racked up one 50-point game, two 40+ point games and 10 games with over 30+ points to showcase his ability to score the ball in a variety of ways. He remains an unsigned senior in the 2025 class for college programs to get to know.</p>

<p>Florida International and Florida State offered him back in February and he still remains unsigned as the high school season wraps up. It wouldn't surprise me to see Freeman hold out until late in the summer to find the right fit for him. He scored a career-high 49 points on 14-of-22 shooting this past season against The Rock Academy out of Gainesville, Florida. The 6-foot-4 guard produced 24.2 points, 3.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 34 percent shooting from 3-point range as a senior.</p>
