Memphis, TN — Friday night at the Memphis Sports & Events Center marked the start of the Nike Jr. EYBL Super Session, bringing together 140 teams — 70 from the 8th grade division and 70 from the 7th grade division. Each team will play four games against regional opponents throughout the weekend, with their records helping shape the path to Peach Jam. He controlled the tempo with poise, handling the ball smoothly and keeping the offense in rhythm. Gold's feel for the game stood out as he guided his team with composure, setting the pace and making smart decisions to help secure the victory. His ability to read defenses and adjust on the fly added another layer of control to his team's offensive flow.

Miles Harris displayed his confidence as a ball-handler in the halfcourt and showed off a variety of scoring tools on Friday. With a reliable perimeter jumper and the length to finish at the rim, he's tough to stop offensively. The next step in his development is harnessing his physical tools to become more aggressive on defense and make a bigger impact on that end of the floor.

Austin Leonard spearheaded Jet Academy's statement win over Nightrydas on day one of the Jr. EYBL Super Session, displaying a more refined game than ever. The wing guard was a force from the perimeter, knocking down shots with confidence, but also showed his toughness by using his strength to finish through contact at the rim. Leonard's versatility and poise set the tone, making him a key factor in Jet Academy's impressive performance.

CJ Murkey emerged as a standout name on Friday, showcasing his skills as a combo guard capable of playing any perimeter position at the 7th grade level. An excellent finisher in transition, he gets downhill quickly with a strong first step when attacking the rim. Murkey is also developing into a reliable catch-and-shoot threat and offers versatility as a perimeter defender who rebounds well from his position.

Kam Potts is one of the few 6th graders playing up in the 7th grade division at the event, and he's already making an impact. A quick and steady ball-handler, Pott is vocal on the court and consistently creates plays off the bounce while finding open teammates. While he primarily takes on a facilitator role for his team, he's also capable of scoring, delivering with his jumper when given time and space. His poise and court vision make him an intriguing prospect to watch.

Stay tuned for more from Prep Hoops Next!
